0:05 The “bodywork” and other work were done by the customer.
0:30 Read the instructions when installing aftermarket parts, but from what I’ve seen steering stabilizers have to be connected to the outer tie rod ends on the one end.
0:41 Easy fix! Why it’s important to read your owner’s manual.
0:51 You need a special tool to do these water pumps. However, they think it might have been the customer as “another shop” could have rented the tool, used it from elsewhere or already have it. Looks like it was the customer who did the work.
1:11 Did they buy it blindfolded? Looks like a terrible auction car.
1:20 6.4L badge but has a 3.6L under the hood.
1:26 Hopefully the customer gets the repairs done soon as it looks like the ball joints are ready to come apart if the customer had put rags around them.
1:36 No extra info.
1:48 Looks like a rodent was chewing up the wiring harness its so bad. Not sure what the customer was trying to do but that’s an expensive fix.
1:58 Not sure if it was the customer or a body shop who did this work. The crash bar should be connected to the frame rail, so whoever did this is trying to hide a lot of damage.
2:11 The most impressive rear differential damage we have seen. On a Subaru.
2:20 Maybe the customer had a friend pull a prank on him?
2:28 No extra info.
2:38 No extra info.
2:53 Parts guy was going to put some parts in a customer’s car for them. He was okay!
3:05 Outro. Thanks for watching!

29 thoughts on “Customer States Steering & Suspension Issues On His New Car

  1. Can't they call the cops when people try to drive off in unsafe, unroadworthy vehicles? I mean, if they know the vehicle is dangerous and they refuse to work on it, isn't there something they can do to keep the customer from driving off in that vehicle? If I was a mechanic and I let someone drive off in an unsafe vehicle and they got hurt or hurt someone else, I would blame myself…

  2. I had a 97 civic hatchback when I was 20 that the rear right strut tower had completed separated from the body. I local guy welded a piece of cast iron pipe to both strut towers then crossed it and welded it to the hatch floor. I didn't think it was the safest thing, but I ended up driving it another 80,000 or so miles over 5 years with no issues. It was a great $700 car.

  3. I've seen some pretty good fusions of 2 cars into 1 for drifting purposes as it's sometimes very cheap if you know how to do it right, but holy shit what kind of deathmachine shitbox is that!

  4. people who decline repairs when they can pay for it need all the luck and help they can get in their life. good luck, but find help elsewhere

  5. There is a way to safely weld the front half of one car to the rear half of another. You can take two badly wrecked cars and make one good car. This isn't the correct procedure. This is why you always get the Carfax and an inspection by a knowledgeable technician.
1:20 How deluded do you have to be to think people will believe there is a V8 under the hood? A V6 and a V8 sound distinctly different, no matter how loud an exhaust you put on it.
2:58. I think this is one of those shoddy repair shops that end up on this channel for their work. Hitting a pothole is one thing but somebody didn't put that cart together right.

  6. Two piles of scrap metal bought at auction, 10 minutes of work, and a delusional owner that thinks they beat the system by getting an expensive car for only a few dollars. Sounds like the average salvage rebuild channel on YouTube.
