0:00 Intro
0:05 The technician said this was on a Chrysler (didn’t mention model). However, as mentioned the technician removed the Weave (hair) and the vehicle no longer had a burning smell.
0:21 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. This just happened yesterday (the day before this is posted), and the viewer who shared this clip is not sure why/how this happened yet. I will give you guys an update if I get one.
0:31 Ford Transit (didn’t mention what year). The customer was mad and wanted Ford or the dealer to do something in regards to their iPhone 6 breaking when they closed the door.
0:41 Why it’s important to not overtighten drain plugs/torque them to manufacturer spec.
0:53 The technician said it was a bottom-end knock that he heard. He is not sure of the exact issue as GM wanted to take apart the engine themselves and investigate the issue.
1:11 The technician said: “It seems we may have an answer to the mystery. The customer has fessed up to adding Blue Devil stop-leak to the engine. I’ve only heard good things about Blue Devil, so I suspect he may not have followed the directions properly. My recollection of using it is that you have to drain the system, remove the t-stat, flush the system with water, drain again, install water inlet/outlet sans t-stat, fill with water and sealer, run for 15 minutes, drain/flush again with water, THEN put the t-stat back in fill with the proper coolant. I think he may have just dumped it in and this is the reaction of the sealer with coolant.”
The truck also has 250000 miles / 402336 kilometres on it.
1:36 The technician said: “Funny enough I’ve had 2021 & 2022 variants of this 2.0L engine in my shop with under 2000 miles on them. Pistons completely melted, spun rods, dropped valves, you name it. These are the worst engines currently in production.”
The 2019 Q7 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
1:55 What you see is the piston is out of the brake caliper, and it’s leaking brake fluid everywhere and that’s why the brake pedal is soft.
2:06 The technician said: “This was last year, but if I remember one of the modules was fried I think but I couldn’t tell ya which one.”
2:18 Blue goes to blue, and red goes to red. The customer reversed the polarity so that’s why it still works but does the opposite.
2:25 This is a common issue on Honda Pilots. You can repair this but it will cost a good amount as the rusted spots need to be cut out, and metal brackets welded in place. The technician said this is what they will be doing on this customer’s vehicle.
What you see as well, is the rear subframe that is dropped down, so it would definitely have quite the vibration while driving.
2:40 Negative camber refers to the angle placement of the wheel in a way that the bottom is further out than the top of it.
2:50 The technician said: “2018 Ford F-150. As stated customer was complaining about a clicking noise. Once I got in I had an idea right away what it was. Showed the customer they laughed and was pretty sure a tech for their construction equipment was messing with him since driving to work it was fine to the dealership was when he noticed the noise.”
3:08 Oil wasn’t at rocker arms, was fine on 2nd start-up.
3:17 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. That Audi engine is insane. I worked at a Lexus dealer for five years and only saw one catastrophic engine failure (that wasn’t customer’s fault) at low miles like that

  2. I imagine due to the composition of stopleak even when solid it probably transfers heat fairly well, probably why it didn't overheat as it acted as the medium even if a bad one

  3. That door pocket one reminds me of back in the 1990s when some … ummmm…. brilliant specimens of humanity used to think that the slide-out CD player tray, on those new fangled computing boxes were coffee cup holders. 😅😂🤣

  4. The "mushy" brakes clip had me CRINGING. Imagine DRIVING that. And the vehicle with the customer who wanted new shocks. EGAD. Shocks won't help you, pal. Some of these were more terrifying that they were ever on the road, than funny. Though the cable ties and the hair weave were pretty hilarious. The dude who did his own work on his window power: yup, he was colour-blind, wasn't he? Got the blue mixed up with the red cables…

  5. My son is a diesel mechanic and he was given a work order that said the customer says the motor "be click'n' "…. His response after fixing it was " it be fixed"

  6. Had a service writer at work piss off a tech so they stuck wheel weights on his driveshaft. It shook so hard he pulled over after a block and ruined his dress shirt climbing underneath. Man, he was mad the next day!

  7. Dang! Soo.. Does that mean the customer Ran over a girl? 😬😬🙈🙉🙊If he keeps coming in for check up then I think he's Running over people 🤔

  8. I had bought a brand new Volkswagen Golf that was great for the first couple of weeks. Then it suddenly started honking the horn every time I put it in reverse. I took it to the dealership and they told me I was crazy and that that couldn’t happen. It took it in three times before it finally did it in front of them. I got so excited that I jumped out shouting at them with it still in gear!

  9. I have a question.
I have no clue about vars. My grandfather knows nearly everything.
But when I get to 50 miles an hour. My car starts to vibrate/shake. The dial (that I think shows when the gears shift) gets stuck at 2 and doesn't move properly. Anyone have ANY idea?
