36 thoughts on “Cops Defend Citizen From False 911 Caller

  1. Has anyone posted the phone number to that business, someone needs to be held accountable for that crazy lady. Please post her info

  2. Yay after watching soooo many nasty police episodes in America this was very hopeful for your future police people to come. ❤❤ Hope those naughty citizens learnt their leasons.

  3. Dude sound like he was ordering a pizza, or threatening his kid that he is going to call his SO to deal with him, and we talk about the absolute professionalism from this operator, anytime I call the police I get someone who has an attitude

  4. I used to work at a pizza place in the Bronx that was the preferred hangout of kids in the neighborhood. We would often have to chase kids out when they were filling up the tables without buying anything. But we would sometimes have to call the police when they refused to move away from the entrance making it so people couldn't get in. There was one kid who was a particular pain in the butt. One night, he was standing in front of the window and miming cocking a pump action shotgun and firing into the restaurant. His hands were empty and he did not have a gun. But when I called the police to get him to stop, the 911 operator must have misunderstood me because I had never seen the police arrive so quickly before. Multiple police cars pulled up on the sidewalk and police threw him up against the wall. I told the officers that he was pretending to fire a gun and apologized for the misunderstanding.

That was the biggest police overreaction I saw until I later became a teacher and got one of my students arrested by a SWAT team for talking in class. What happened was a kid kept talking/singing about "bombs of love" and that people "better take the bus" because he was "gonna blow up the 5 train." I kept trying to get him to be quiet so I could teach, but he just kept doing it. Finally, I asked a teacher walking by to bring him to the Dean. Because I had him removed, I had to write a Dean's referral. In that referral I included what he had been saying. I didn't think the referral would go further than the Dean, but what I didn't know was that all referrals were uploaded to the Joint Terrorism Task Force. The next day I was called to the Principal's office where I met 4 officers from the Emergency Service Unit (the NYPD's version of SWAT) who wanted to know if I thought he was serious. I explained that I was positive he was just fooling around and that I would never have included what he said if I realized it would be routed to the police department. They told me they were glad to hear it, but they were going to have to go pick him up and ride to Bellevue with him in the ambulance for his psych evaluation. You don't even want to know what happened to the kid I caught chewing gum!!! More seriously, I felt terrible about it and my principal wasn't exactly happy with me.

  5. the lady who called 911 and said he may have a gun shoulda been ticketed at the very least. She was rude to the operator and hung up and she was pressing the issue of the gun strongly to get a fast hard response. She needed to learn not to do that. The wrong cops coulda showed up and an innocent man coulda got killed.

  6. The woman that called in a gun should be arrested for filing a false report because she could have gotten the videographer shit and killed.
A reprimand isn't enough. They were mad and she deliberately said he had a gun to get the response.

  7. You can have a gun in your vehicle in the parking lot of a school in my state. It avoided how little sense it made go have to bring it home before picking up the child you plan to protect on your way home

  8. Imagine trying to hire Peninsula Crane for a job? They’d lie about everything lmao. I’m sure there are some horror stories from contractors around the area about dealing with them

  9. The idiot with nothing better to do than stand about filming business owners is trying to 'vex, annoy.. etc so should be prosecuted.

  10. They don’t want you filming their business because it might lead to internet shaming or something, and then they go and behave like this which 100% leads to public shaming.
Just ignore Karen’s, don’t even engage with them.

  11. They disabled their Google lol. Also their Yelp is bombed to hell (although I did look at older ones and they weren't anything to write home about).

  12. ok but why are these "first amendment auditors" going out of their way to be as suspicious as posible so they can get the cops called on them to record shit for their youtube channels?

also, those laws allowing people to photograph CHILDREN without the parents consent feels like it was made to protect pedophiles

if that Karen didn't say that he had a gun, that guy should have been detained for being a creep
