   My family used to go to a mechanic that had a contract with the Illinois State Police. They towed damaged cruisers and fixed them. They had a storage yard, and somehow John Wayne Gacy's car ended up being stored there. It was a black Oldsmobile, long with a big trunk. It had an all red interior that gave it a really sinister look. It was seized as evidence and somehow ended up there after the trial. It was there until the late 90's. I don't know what happened to it after that.

13. American here, always paid cash on cars. I owned a similar car, a '77 LeSabre sedan, $200 cash. Later got $100 and a large surfboard for it. First year of the shrunken GM big cars, the Caprice/Impala included.
