idk abt yall but it’s cases like these that i agree with chappell roan’s grammy speech more and more. like i completely get wanting to “leave them wanting more” especially at the beginning of your career where you want to wait for the perfect time so everyone can focus and celebrate what you created. but honestly after Z, punch really should’ve let sza drop whenever she wanted to. not only for the fact that it’s HER music. but also for how passionate and excited she was to know that the stuff she was putting out is quality not just quantity. like she said they released good days on christmas and it’s one of her biggest and most beloved songs to date. multiple songs of hers became world charting and i don’t think that would’ve changed no matter how early she wanted to release it. i’m sorry maybe i don’t get how business works but i don’t see the harm in letting the girl release a project that she knows is great and will do great regardless when she drops. i know it’s more deep than that but i just feel for sza. i just HOPE they don’t do doechii like this.
Base off of the info given punch just seemed like a normal manager. They probably disagreed on a few things but he probably still help pushed her career against the label. Idk why people treated him like he was going against her. Also from her reflection on the past it seemed like she probably has some things that made her hard to work with. Rather it was her inexperience or tendency to lash out from frustration. There seems to be a bigger wall that she's going against that has not revealed itself.
I ALSO JUST REALIZE HOW THICK SZA IS. She has some nice size thighs with no disrespect. I myself have some thick bowlegs.
