The 1980s had a style all of it’s own and many of the items found in homes are no longer found in them. Let’s take a little tour back in time and look at 1980s Things Found In Every Home.

  1. I had a Garfield phone growing up. My parents built the house I grew up 1982. I lived there from when I was 8 until I went to college. Brand new it had the oak cabinets and floral wallpaper. It also had a couple of 80s characteristics not mentioned. There was a sky light built in and everyone had a Sears garage door opener. I miss that house.

  2. I gonna say somethin' and I don't care who comes for me. The best years in history were 1980 – 1989.
    There I said it.
Wanna come for me, come, i dont care. I am ready.

  3. Speaking of 80's kitchen cabinets: "If you see them today, they wreak of acid-washed jeans and hairspray." LOLOL! The narration spoken with a straight voice cracks me up.

  4. I was a child in the 80s. I have what feels like the best memories during the 80s and early 90s. My husband and I are on the series Matlock, and many times, it makes me wish I could go back for a visit to childhood.

  5. I miss the '80s, especially the clothes and accessories. Hunter green and burgundy were also a popular pair of colors that people used in wall paint and decor. Oh, and cobalt blue lame cloth that would change to black if it was held at a certain angle, not to mention black velvet dresses with hunter green and burgundy plaid skirts which were really popular during the holiday season in the late '80s.

  6. Honestly, I feel like a lot of these concepts are still good, and just need a modern revamp, so we get the current era cleanliness with the 80s warmth and coziness.

  7. I remember walking three blocks to the telephone booth to call my girlfriend, calls cost one dime and I also remember thinking how convenient the phone booth was 👍

  8. As a CA teen of the 80s, I had those geometric sheets shown with the Full House clip. I bought them from Macy's way before I ever saw them on tv. They ended up being used on quite a few sitcoms. I ended up donating them apx 2004 and regretted it. They were still amazing shape.

  9. Mirrored wall sconces! I had lilac colored walls in my bedroom and teen posters adorned my walls. My sister's bed was entirely covered in stuffed animals, I'm not sure how she even fit on there!
