World War 2 wasn’t just fought between nations- it was fought between car companies. Ford, Mercedes, GM and more were building everything from the planes in the sky to the guns on the ground. This is what your favorite car company was up to during WW2.

Thanks again for checking out this week’s Lore Garage episode! Growing up with my Grandpa in Australia, we used to build a ton of AirFix model kits together and while we built them in his study he would show me documentaries or books about whatever aircraft, tank, or warship we were building. It left me with a genuine fascination for World War 2 history which I want to share with you guys. It might not be your thing, but at the end of the day I want you guys to walk away from every video with a new fact that you can tell your friends next time your hanging out with them. – Jimmy <3
I was foaming at the mouth and ready to pounce if Rolls Royce wasn't mentioned lol. I still think they deserved way more screen time here, but good video overall.
Its time for Donut to infiltrate itasha community
But todays car companies only Mitsubishi remains to build Military Vehicle they even building Jets like 4th Gen Fighters like the F-2 Viper Zero and the F-15J-Kai
But meanwhile in South Korea? That's a different story because Samsung are not just build your phones but also K7 Thunder an SPH and also Jets like the FA-50 (that was before KAI took over). Meanwhile Russia in the other hand that Kalashnikov who also making AK47 stuff also building cars as well.
GUP is sooo good.
engine swap and Grand A10 1.2 L
Havent watched yet, but i certainly hope ford never got up to anything shady or helped the Nazi war machine in any major way shape or form 😊
That's exactly why the US still survives and the military industrial complex is why we stay ahead of the world at all times. China is "scary" right now only because they out spend other nations on military but are just barely 30% of what we spend😂😂😂😮
Tbh I am not a car person but U got me invested in the video!
I liked and unliked the video at least 3 times because of the animation of the tire burning out to a thumb.
WHO ARE YOU??
Great content! Love the creativity with the 90s retro game look too! 😎🔥
I'm surprised that during ww2 Japan resources is waaaaay less than the others!!!! I thought they had same resources as other nations in ww2
Yo that was interesting!
What music do you use in your videos?
This was an amazing episode keep these coming!
No more brother wars!
BMW's jet engine was pretty nutty, nutty as in it burnt up easily like my peanut butter
I lost it at the Beeps
Donut Videogame when?
these vids are toooo 🔥
Wow GM made so much money from the Germans and Americans in WW2. Disgusting.
4:43 the Tiger II and Panther were NOT powered by Mercedes engines, they were powered by Maybach engines.
02:32 What do yo mean!? Never heard of Opel? How is this possible? They are not sold in US or something or its just British made plague named Vauxhall
That hetzer was made of solid Germanium.
Yo completely off topic but what’s the song id played at 3:45 ?
7:40 Mitsubishi F-2, search it up. (They still make planes)
1:47 why that flag says "wtf"
I totally hate the ps2 graphics its hideous
I always wanted a IBM produced m1 carbine.
Not to mention that WW2 introduced a Lot of inovations for planes that would become standard for tuners today, like the advancements of the Supercharger. Turbocharger, sophisticated fuel injection, the germans had nitrous oxide for high altitude fighters, higher octanage fuels, precise boost pressure adjustments… You name It, the British even had an beast, the napier sabre, a inline 24 cilinder engine producing more than 2000 HP mostly Stock with only a simple Supercharger and Common 100 Octane fuel, the engine was deemed unreliable. But Its parts required extremely precise machining, down to the mícrons…… In 1941.
No talk of ford sueing the us tax payers for factory’s blown up in Germany that was making nazi war machines, or Hitler giving Henry a medal.. funny how that works.
I freaking love this video!!!!
FINALLY
GuP mentioned!
Nice video Jimmy!
i was actually playing war thunder while watching this
Skoda made e38t pansers
no wonder 4×4 pick up is in the middle east with multiple configurations 😂
Jimmy knocks it out of the park again. Little bit of an awkward transition for Donut, and they are different now, but the channel is crushing it lately 🙌
Ahhhh man I wish the video had a different host no hate to jimmy which I guess this is but I swear I don’t mean it in an angry way I just don’t like his voice or his style 😔
The Man company built the panther. They still make trucks today.
