It's how the ritch stay ritch . Spend bank on ABC but neglected D.E.F and all the way to Z but hey we got ABC
Mr. Fancy green shoes is a bit off
Why don’t these high end exotic car dealers just have their own fleet of trucks/trailers to do the shipping? Its more overhead, but to not get anxiety every time some shady transporter shows up is worth every penny in my book…especially when dealing with multi million dollar cars…
Some people are just scum bags. At least his customer was under standing. He isn't talking about Camry.
Wait wait wait wait wait wait you guys fuck up and can't get the car delivered when you need to and you still charge the customer an extra $1,500 you sir are a fucking thief
Who would trust a third party shipper with a 2 million car? You are so lucky. That’s just dumb. You closed trailer it personally or you have someone do it that you know personally.
Feel free to hit me up when you need something brought from the midwest ! No middle people, like brokers or dispatchers here. Mom and Pops small operation on the side. Its just me, myself and I. I always give the personal cell and dont care how many times you call or text. Always game to work and love driving. I dont got new fancy equipment and my rates sometimes may not be better than the bigger guys but when you have me do something, your the only one im doing a job for. No stops for other loads or huge windows for pickup and drop off. I go directly to your vehicle, pick it up, treat it like its the most important thing in my life, then drop it off to you. I know the youtube comment section is not exactly a normal place to shoot your shot but sometimes you gotta say your prayers and attempt to take the road less traveled. 😂
This is so real. The key here is when the buyer put a Rush on getting car this is when it went sideways. Im sure if he did not pull that " I want it now" typical of that kind of buyer and that put the big shipper like Reliable Intercity out as they often take a few weeks. Someone else made a good point at this level of car deals I would have several high ends Dually trucks and double car trailer and just charge the client an super high White Glove Fee. Yes Sir I will have the 918 to you by Friday $25g fee. If not it will be whenever one of the Big guys can make it. No brokers
If the trucker truly got there earlier why didn’t they just notify of that and the customer would’ve just got the car that much earlier. Customer would’ve been happy, truckers could’ve gone about their day
Say the name of the company. Why is does it seem so dam impossible to get a good reliable car transporter even when shipping multi million dollar cars? I would think that there is a pretty big hole on the market for an honest reliable transporter
A recent report on the German transport sector reported that a load is rebrokered 3 times… That has to end!
Something tells me that the transport company is ether Russian or Ukrainian 😂
The nightmare Starts with „Broker“ how do you put your own Brand Name on Risk by using basically a unknown Person ? Thats weird
Beta
I always assumed the really high end dealers had an in house staff of 4 drivers to deliver these cars among doing other task. Any issue would be instantly updated and you would know within a few minutes when the car would arrive. Once they go across the country that team could possibly grab a car on the way back. Once again you have these 4 people doing other things when not transporting so your getting your monies worth there.
Seems like someone cheaped out on shipping
The phrase investment car is complete stupidity. Cars aren’t investments ever. They are toys that depreciate quickly.
This guy takes so long to tell a story, I feel like sitting at the dealer doing financing to get a car would be faster.
I had a situation a few months ago with my first time ever having a vehicle shipped and it was not a pleasant experience. I bought 2 1980's F-150s from a great guy in PA and had them shipped to NY. They did arrive in a couple of days but not without damage. The shipping company subcontracts with transporters and this particular transporter had no clue at all. First problem was the guy didn't know how to get one of the trucks out of park and was yanking on the 4WD shifter so hard that he ripped the knob off the shifter and bent the linkage making the truck undrivable. The transfer case wouldn't engage and would just grind. Next the other truck was hit on the passenger side breaking the mirror and denting the door. The transporter basically said look at the trucks, they're junk anyway. Granted the trucks were not in great shape but they were far from junk and that doesn't give them the right to damage them anymore than they were. In the end they took $50 off the cost of shipping and now I am extremely reluctant to ever have a vehicle shipped. Now if I want to buy a vehicle and can't personally get it then I won't buy it.
All they had to do was deliver it earlier that's all🤔🤔
Shipping a $2M car thru a hotshot trucker is wild
Folks. STOP CALLING BROKERS. There are several auto transport companies that are extremely experienced and you can talk to the people that are actually having hands on your vehicle. We don’t bs around about it. If everything’s good we’ll tell you. If not we’ll call you first and tell you. A broker never even sees your car and gives it to the lowest cost truck they can find. Just a few excellent enclosed carriers,,Pilot Transport. Reliable Carriers. Mccollisters. If you can’t talk directly to the person that is going to pick up your vehicle BEFORE it’s picked up don’t use them. Yes we cost more. You get the service you pay for. One way to cover yourself is to ask the company for their insurance credentials. If they’re legit they’ll send no problem. Most of these small carriers that brokers use don’t have enough insurance to cover your vehicle if there is an issue. We carry 10 million coverage.
Seems like if someone started a company with the sole goal to ship cars in a orderly manor, there'd be a lot of money to be made.
Why is car shipping like this? Endless stories about crappy car transport. Why not start a 'premium' business doing this, seems like easy money.
When I used to own a Large Towing Company in the NYC Metro area, I had Nightmares with a Fleet of Rollbacks, I could give you some stories, like the NEW JAG with 50 miles on it and the driver forgot to chain down a manual trans and it rolled off my Rollback into an intersection.
As a CDL driver i wish I could get in to these types of transports because i am a car guy and have more integrity then more of these guys out there.
If one can afford to purchase a $2M car, if it is so precious to you, perhaps you should take to the time to go pick it up yourself and drive it home,
I've delivered a 918 to a dealer in Chicago – no issues. Everyday work for most enclosed transporters. BUT, I've also seen a fly-by-night independent driver load and damage 2 high end cars – on a Bently GT Continental and the other a SL Mercedes – at an auction loading lot. He said he was getting $500.00 for the Bently. From Riverside, CA to Chicago. In an open rack truck exposed to the elements in November…with the driver's side window on the Bently partially down as his hydraulics weren't working. And he crawled out the window without taking his shoes off – tracking the dirty parking lot onto the beautiful saddle tan leather. He asked me if i had touch up paint for the pearl cream Bently after he tagged it with the SL 550. $10,000 repair to save $1,000 in transport.
What cars are those at 6:34?
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽
I hope you didn't have to pay these yah-hoos. Or at least a lot less than the agreed price.
Tbh if ur dealing extremely high-end cars, u should invest in ur own way to transport them if possible. The vehicle transportation industry is a rolling dumpster fire.
You need to look at the driver, the truck and trailer, believe your instincts and stereotypes.
Not a bad story but really struggled to hit the 10 minute length.
Ed loves these transport nightmare videos. They sell 4 million dollar cars and expect broker to find them cheapest rate possible for quickest delivery. Every fcking other business its considered cutting corners, you get what you pay for. In car business its considered they crushed my soul and spirit. Iam never entrusting central dispatch. Thats a start. Make your own trans non binary car company.
You would think these guys would just go pick up and deliver the cars personally especially with the amount of horror stores behind transport companies
