I grew up in Alaska (though I lived and worked as an adult mostly in California and SoCal), and you would never catch me doing all this dumb shit. Way too warm to drive down the Chena, leaving way too late from Anchorage for the amount of daylight and Deadhorse is rough in the summer.
And I'd NEVER do it in an 35 year old shitbox in the winter. That makes Fast and Furious going to space look smart. Alaska straight up kills you if you don't respect it.
