The Path of the Panther project has been Carlton’s full-time focus since 2016 – It’s purpose is to inspire a public and political movement to save the Florida Wildlife Corridor through the story of the endangered Florida panther.

38 thoughts on “Something Scary is Happening to Wildlife in the Everglades | Carlton Ward Jr

  1. Lived here off and on for last 25 years. Only last year, I learned about the Springs.
I mean, I knew we have springs, but I didn't truly understand wtf we are talking about when we talk about Florida natural springs.
    Its quite insane.
I'm not even going to rattle off stats, impressive as some rando reader here may find it…look it up yourself. Or don't. On further thought, its not that impressive, you totally shouldn't look into it..

  2. Amazing pictures. I'm in Pasco county Florida and keep seeing huge, treed, wild areas completely destroyed. I'm always surprised how quick one guy with a tree eating machine can destroy a forrested area. Too bad developers dont go after all the empty bankrupt buildings and reuse those areas. Anyway, thank you for making the term wildlife corridor a thing everyone understands.

  3. While this was enlightening & amazing there’s thousands of areas of American land that are at risk because of land development & human sprawling. People complain about birth rates but to be honest maybe we really should slow down & take more pride & have more respect for our land, wildlife & resources.

  4. Just think Trump is opening up the national attic wildlife refuge for oil drilling!! Crazy! Greed! Has to pay back the billionaire oil companies for their donations and bribes!!

  5. I know I'm born in Florida and I live here, it's ridiculous the amount of people coming to Central Florida where I live, need to get them out of here man, I see if you weren't born in Florida you don't need to be here

  6. Notice ! FWC now forbids any game cameras and Drones to be in the area. They state it’s because the people walking in the preserve are complaining about being photographed. Sometimes I just wonder ! Keep up the great work, keep educating the population about what is going on in our beautiful state.

  7. I have 22 acres in Fakahatchi why can’t I see any small game, like raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, possums? I have observed bobcat, Bears, some deer, numerous turkeys, alligators, daily. But no small game. Have been looking 🎉for the past three years and in three years I have only observed ONE squirrel! Recently a man and his dog was killed and then dragged off and partially buried, by a black bear in neighboring Jerome. FWC did get a bear , immediately, with remains proving they did get the right bear. A resident here stated they see 25 to 40 bears daily. But why no small game in my area ?

  8. I was told Blue Origin is allowed to dump waste water in the Indian River Lagoon 😮! Patrick Smith the author of “A Time Remembered “ was a resident of Merritt Island in my country of Brevard. If you haven’t read it, please do. The story spans from 1857-1968 and follows three generations of a Floridian family.
