3. I don't think it's anything to do with Stones and what they think. It's most likely to do with their management and the stipulations they put in. The thing is when you're as big as the Stones other people around you begin to believe hype more than yourself.

I worked for a lot of bands in the late 90s/early 2000’s, including Pantera, and Bob Dylan had the exact same rule, we were not allowed to look him in the eye if we happened to pass by him backstage or in the catering tents etc. I thought it was the weirdest thing. Very interesting to hear this story about Jagger, especially since Metallica was so huge by then.

21. Say what you will about Lars… But at least he takes a lot of time meeting his fans at events, engaging with them and doing what he can to make them feel good about it. And he almost ALWAYS looks them in the eyes.
