  1. I don't think it's anything to do with Stones and what they think. It's most likely to do with their management and the stipulations they put in. The thing is when you're as big as the Stones other people around you begin to believe hype more than yourself.

  2. I worked for a lot of bands in the late 90s/early 2000’s, including Pantera, and Bob Dylan had the exact same rule, we were not allowed to look him in the eye if we happened to pass by him backstage or in the catering tents etc. I thought it was the weirdest thing. Very interesting to hear this story about Jagger, especially since Metallica was so huge by then.

  3. I’ve always thought some of these musicians/celebrities are ridiculous with their requests like, don’t look at me, don’t talk to me, don’t breath the same air as me, etc. OoOoOoOhh you’re SSOOOO important 🙄 excuse the hell outta me

  4. That’s the kind of dumb shit people have got to stop feeding into in order to snuff it out. “Don’t look him in the eye” yea, that would’ve turned into a full on “hi how are ya?” Handshake introduction during his little workout.

  5. Say what you will about Lars… But at least he takes a lot of time meeting his fans at events, engaging with them and doing what he can to make them feel good about it. And he almost ALWAYS looks them in the eyes.

  6. Most of you all are missing the point. ….artfuldp was correct. It had nothing to do with Mick having a big ego. Mick will welcome the whole world looking at him, with the one exception of Lars.

  7. Please help me go viral this is my 50th and last attempt at getting Metallica to come to south Africa in Cape town please let this go viral and spread the word I need to see them live in my country

  8. You never have a heavier band open for you because they'll blow you away and the crowd will fall asleep or leave😅😅😅

  9. I would defend lars here but copying mick and his bs diva behavior is sad. Jesus you’re mick jagger not Sergei Rachmaninov. You can’t write shit guy. Real musicians don’t act like that.

  10. Lol! Not making eye contact was probably a good idea… he probably would have started laughing! Probably told not to put a mirror under Keith Richards nose to see if he was breathing as well😉

  11. Well that's just made Mick and the rest of the band sound like massive dickheads! It doesn't matter who you're, that's just a shitty way to be!

  12. When you forget to be human and don't want eye contact.

Honestly though thats just kind of stupid. Itsd human instinct to look someone in the eyes. Christ. What an ego.
