Excellent story! I recognize and truly honor the incredibly important contribution of this team and what they were able to accomplish. To me, everything every pioneer in this arena has done has been incredibly important to me. I’ve learned about at least one incredibly important innovation from every single record effort (successful or not) described in a VinWiki story. Having said that, imagine what a more professional effort backed by far more planning, money, leg work, and more flexibility connected to the departure date and timing could accomplish. For instance, even merely driving the expected/planned route/course at least once or twice in advance of the record run would no doubt improve the record time dramatically and help the team determine optimal routes (and to learn things like whether any bridges are out or whether any unexpected road work will be encountered). In my view, based on everything reasonably available to a well-funded driving team in 2025, the real record could realistically almost cut an 86 hour record in half. And, I do not make that statement lightly. Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to describe the many ways in which hours can be shaved off of a maybe, what, over 6,500 mile overall trip, but it’s no secret that one record cannonball team effectively utilized a team member who served as the team’s weather guide. In or after 2025, I wouldn’t expect any record run to last very long (relatively speaking in terms of years) before being broken which did not wholly take place by a vehicle running solely on dry ground or at least solely on roads that were sufficiently dry to allow virtually zero reduction in speed.
I did not see a map of the route in the video. You should really include one. I would be fascinated to see the route. I can't really imagine how it goes.
I Absolutely Love Wicked Awesome BBQ..
Is there a run for the Atlantic coast / 13 Colonies?
route?
This video should be able to be used to charge you with crimes for any state in which you broke traffic laws. Which was probably all of them.
So these are all just stories, nothing to watch?… I’m no longer interested
Ok please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks this guy looks like Nathan Fillion
You wouldn't even need to eat if you were fat adapted, just would need water/ electrolytes
I’m from Vermont and stumbled across this video and literally live 5 mins from white river junction where your started. But side note, wicked awesome bbq ISNT ICONIC and it’s not very good. Lol
Ohh man 4th of July cops are thick might as well be New Years. They have many stops and troopers every 10 miles on the interstate. Here in New York anyways.
lol @ the nutrition and sleep
I'm honestly confused why such a smart guy would have even attempted going through Atlanta during rush hour?
I guess he just didn't know how bad it can get.
Literally 100miles out of your way is quicker.
Great story and congrats on the record! Thanks for sharing Grady and VINwiwki.
8:57 wtf is this idiot doing
I wonder what their average mph was
I once did 111 miles in 1hr 3mins. I did stop for fuel for like 2-4 mins. Was Sunday morning, great weather, motorway only……I didn’t feel like I dropped below 130mph whole journey…..all in a stock 98 spec JDM Integra Type R……hit the rev limiter in fifth twice at 151 mph on the GPS, 160 on the speedo. Anyone keeping up that kind of pace with normal roads and traffic included for 1000’s of miles deserves so much more respect that most could imagine.
Hoe about the 50 state
Sometimes the journey really is the destination- love this guy
Umm anyone else wonder why they went high speed off that highway??
how do i track these runs ?
Because ed and vinwiki i know cannonball run and make me exited went everybody broke some new record and tell the story 🔥🔥🔥
Send love from indonesian 🇮🇩

If you had a 1.9 Liter TDI with a custom tank, you'd never have to stop for gas! That engine is the most reliable you can buy.
But I know Americans don't like Diesel and don't even know that engine exists. 😉
