Why was the mm plate so desirable
The 1922 Hawaii is the first license plate used by all four counties, on all islands. Before that, each of the counties had its own separate annual plate except Kauai County, which never issued professionally-manufactured plates and continued to just require owners to provide their own, which had happened in the other three counties as well till they switched to "real" license plates.
The 1921 Alaska plate is NOT porcelain; it's just plain old embossed steel with paint on it. This one was repainted. Only a few hundred of these were made and I think 5 or 6 are known to have survived. It is considered the rarest regular-issue license plate from all of the 50 states.

love myself some rare plates – those prices are insane… , i was able to get (Bury) and (Above) – i had the ABOVE plates on and R34 skyline – people legit took more photos of the plates then the Widebody R34 sitting in front of them lolol

I had to do some digging thru state pages. I found out that I subscribed May 8th of 2019, although I think I started watching sooner than that and just didn’t realize I wasn’t subbed. But at that time, you guys were just crossing 2M subs. Crazy to see how big this channel has gotten. Granted, it’s owned by Recurrent now, but much of the growth happened before that.
With that acquisition in mind, maybe that’s why the content got a little dry there for a bit. Lately, though, it seems like a good balance has been achieved.
