9. Donut, In Sri Lanka these Tuk Tuks also serve as mini petrol stations in times of petroleum crisis when queues build up. It’s so easy to empty the tank and come back up to the fuel queue. You can stock pile a lot. Since old ones are two stroke they use 2T as an additive with 92 octane. They used to sell these refilled petroleum and the guys who purchased them got their engines spoiled cause of the additive.

I own and rent one of this myself in India, not sure if anyone mentioned in comments, but the reason fuel tank is smaller is cause it's a common part for all auto rickshaws made by RE Bajaj that are mainly made to be running on CNG(compressed natural gas) as primary fuel source to make it more fuel efficient and petrol as secondary backup fuel which in most case just used to start the engine with less stress or during cold starts also in condition where it requires a bit more punch or power for small distance or going up hill. You can find the CNG tank just below the passengers seat and the refuleing port as well as on/off valve on the right side just beside the wheel from outer shell you should see a small lock accessible through the same key. The petrol fuel tank goes in all other rickshaws like the 2 stroke and the 4 stroke , which interms reduces cost of making a bigger one separately, though you can purchase a bigger one in after market fitments. There are not a lot of mods or upgrades done to these mechanically related to engine, suspension or brakes therefore no information related to that is easily available but you can find videos about customization related to cosmetical changes like lights, looks, seats, audio systems, fans, TV's or media consoles which are the most common changes owners do to give it their personal touch and make it one of a kind. I would love to see what Donut media will do to this mechanically, might give me an idea to try that on mine as well.

16. I went to India 3 years ago and now they use electric tuk tuks. Very cool and a lot more power.

17. be grateful for not having tuk tuks in america and europe. it's really economical and cheap, but it comes with major drawbacks. with it's weak structure, un stability and tuk tuk drivers careless mindset of squeezing it through traffic , careless turning there are soo many fatal accidents every day.

    Acceleration is awesome (wrt their size) & no sound + smoother ride too (well, a/c to its standard)
