0:05 The customer’s insurance company did not want to cover this damage.
0:26 GPS mount hits the power button of the radio screen causing it to shut off over bumps. The technician also mentioned the customer drove 80 miles/128 km for this appointment and was rather surprised it was that all along.
0:38 Customer just thought it needed an alignment. Parts were replaced and the car got an alignment afterwards. Make sure to read the owner’s manual on where the lifting points are on your vehicle.
0:50 A new oil pan gasket was installed.
1:08 Not the first time we have seen this on the channel. Hopefully, it’s just from people leaving their wigs/Halloween costumes on the road…
1:20 Look at the aftermarket cover and where the buttons are on the key fob. As mentioned the customer has been pressing the wrong buttons the whole time, so the remote start function didn’t work.
1:32 “2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, customer states while driving check engine light will turn on and go into reduce engine power. Found left front of vehicle had some damage and they did not put the fender liner back in that supports the wiring harness causing it to hang contacting the rim and grounding out control circuits in the wiring harness.”
1:54 Damage was repaired.
2:07 An important lesson for the customer and service advisor.
2:18 A/C was very cold when the dial was turned to the left.
2:26 Very common for Chevy trailblazers to see this happen. Looks like it has been like this for a while as you can see the tire has started to cup/have unusual wear.
2:36 Looks like brake fluid is leaking as well. Maybe the customer did the work himself but could not figure out how to put it back together?
2:47 First time seeing a Focus turned into a Cadillac.
2:56 An easy find for the technician.
3:04 “CCTV footage shows the ghost wheel rolling across the road and then smashing through the windows of a building in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, southern Thailand, on September 23. Staff were jolted from their seats as the heavy object shattered the glass and sent sharp shards scattering on the tiled floor. The shop owner said no employees were hurt as they were seated away from the windows. She said she planned to relocate the employees’ workspace farther inside the building following the incident. Thailand has one of the world’s worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027. However, a lack of road safety education in schools along with notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws, and chronic under-investment in infrastructure, all appear to hamper the efforts.”
3:18 Outro. Thanks for watching!

21 thoughts on “Customer States Brand New Car Doesn’t Start

  1. 2:13 reminds me of SA I had worked with before. Having to explain to him that the customer concern of the vehicle engine shutting down and restarting when stopping in a traffic light is normal because the car is equipped with an auto start/stop system.

  2. Honestly as a German I don‘t like the TÜV being too strict sometimes.
Watching those clips however, I‘m glad that we have TÜV in Germany…
I don‘t mind people destroying their cars but some of that stuff is seriously dangerous to other people on the streets.

  3. Just noticed the other day a car next to me in walmart parking lot had front tire crooked and knocked back rubbing into fender panel like it had hit a curb at highway speed. Couldn't believe it might have been driven there like that. After watching this video now it makes sense.

  4. Lost truck tires (like at end) kill several people per year in US. I encountered one in about 1994 during rain on interstate 85 in SC. Came across median slowing all the time and I could tell by its speed and mine I would JUST MISS it and it would go behind me. I was right and it started to "sit down" or rotate horizontally JUST (say 10- 20 yards) behind me. I then heard other cars brakes squealing behind me, but nothing I could do. Glad I estimated correctly!
