18. Hey Lyle, I can't see that anyone else here said this already. Generally-speaking (depends where you live) probation is where you are "free" to go out in public, but you often have to report to the police weekly or monthly, and there's often special conditions attached, like this guy may have had an order to not go within so many metres of a school. Typically you're not allowed to leave your state and you definitely aren't allowed to travel overseas. It's usually used so that moderate criminals who send inappropriate pictures or break into houses don't mix with harder criminals like rapists or murderers. So just to clarify, it's definitely not like nothing happened. Was it was enough of a punishment? I'm not sure.

She and her sister were literally groomed by the teacher, people saying that they led him on by texting him are only contributing to the victim blaming misconception that too many unfortunately believe in. they trusted their teacher to be a normal person with their best interests in mind, and when they became suspicious were too ashamed/embarrassed to tell their family. A person like a teacher is in a position of power in relation to their students, and he abused that power for sexual gratification. Those girls only deserve sympathy and respect.

40. 1st story doesn't add up to me at all, so they're all adults and graduated? Nothing actually happened between them? He lost his job and got 5 years probation for yelling outside their house? Why is she telling this like she's proud of ruining someone's life?
