We need dumb people to die….? That is some crazy work right there.
"They eat with their eyeballs??!!" (Danny, 1:09:45)
BLESS HIS HEART…
I can just tell by the vibes he's from the burgh 💯💯💯💪💪💪🤣
So the suit life on deck was real😅
if I was this guy I would at least bring a speargun. I feel like you need a speargun if you are going to swim with sharks especially whites, tigers & bulls.
He should dive in Seattle with the titanic sleeper sharks that appear every year
Disgusting. Leave sharks alone. How about a quota for killing fisherman
Plenty of people who go missing —-/ but what are the real numbers?
Rare because you don’t live to to speak about the incident——
Orcha only eat the livers
Dolphins at 7 feet impressive I got to see one surface—swimming off the bay down in Florida somewhere about those early dolphin 🐬 studies reall are creepy— like an alien abduction scout —-unethical and horrific-
Sharks. /cool/ but not your pony ride …
The bear guy was like that he & girlfriend
Were ended by bears….🥺these are still wild animals—-
Do not take this guy with you anywhere if you guys have drugs in the car and you guys get stopped by the cops the first thing he's going to say is I don't know what the drugs are they're not in the glove compartment and they're not in the trunk
I bet the shark fishing industry is like this because of the skincare industry. My guess would be for the squalene. Squalene is prevalent in ray species and also olives but it’s cheaper when it’s shark fin, etc. Also, the latest skincare fad is called PDRN which originated in salmon sperm, fun gross fact. I’m telling you whomever organized those government subsidized laws, probably has underhanded deals with the skincare industries. Or anything to do with collagen like all the collagen powder. Way more lucrative than shark fin soup.
Anyone want to read a wild story about Orcas. Google Old Tom the Orca from Twofold bay Australia
I have been taking my kids to Sea world for years, and my aunt had a friend who worked with the Orkas and they ended up killing her, took her to the bottom of the tank and drowned her and played with her like a rag doll. And she was with them all the time- she loved them and thought they loved her- but people forget that they are wild animals who should be in the ocean. Its so sad that they have kept them in a tiny space. I always thought that Sea world was helping animals. I now don't go there and I would never take my grandkids there. We go to the zoo where we can educate them and they are actually doing good things for the animals
I loved this one- this guy was so genuine and fun.
I randomly found your channel from watching SP on your podcast. And now im a new subscriber. LOVE YOUR STUFF
you divers are crazy taking pictures of big sharks! You dont get cameramen getting that close to lions or tigers in the wild. What makes you think your any safer getting that close to sharks in the ocean! Crazy madness.
Monterey❤
the pods of orcas in antarctica that have figured out how to create a wave under the ice to break the ice and trap a seal in the water or on a small ice float, and then they do it again to create a second wave that pushes the seal into the water is CRAZY. Those animals are SO intelligent man.
two hours and forty two minutes before Danny gets Andy's shirt. I was laughing at it 2 seconds in.
2:20:15 are you serious bro??? Steve couldn't get insurance!!! Lol they didn't show the footage because it was horrific and his wife and executive producer immediately agreed to destroy it
Y'all are missing half the thing with shooting exotic African game. They use those big pretty checks 1 Hunter pays to prevent poaching it's expensive and involves many employees and hang cameras. They also use it for what you were saying but it absolutely has a positive impact on the animals bc poachers will just kill everything but you can't stop them for free
I've seen video of Orcas hunting Great Whites. They kill it and only eat the liver, which is where all the nutrition and calories are and can weigh as much as 250 pounds.
As far as commercial fishing. I saw a documentary taken aboard a commercial trawler that had no narration, just the brutal reality of what life is like and the things the men have to endure to exist in that world. One particular scene really disturbed me….There was a large container full of smallish rays, a couple feet across that were still alive, and two men. One would grab a ray, hold it with one of the "wings" in each hand, spread it open and the other would slice the wings off, since that was the only real meat on them, and kick the now wingless ray back into the ocean. They were doing it so fast, maybe five seconds each and had what looked like several hundred to process. It was all business, regardless of the obvious cruelty of the act, and you could tell they were completely desensitized and probably engage in other equally, or more morbid jobs that they've probably done hundreds of times…
As far as the dolphin experiments, Lily would take LSD, enter the isolation tank and attempt to telepathically communicate with the dolphins, while the woman would try to get them to learn and speak English. Lily later switched to ketamine while the woman didn't really get anywhere with the English lessons, but since the dolphin she was working with was a teenager who initially showed aggression, she eventually learned how to curb that aggression, if you get my drift. When they ran out of money, the dolphin was put in a tank somewhere, and had become attached to the woman, because once she was no longer in his life, he became depressed and committed suicide by just not surfacing to breathe.
I wasn't sure about this and at 3:02 I was like ok he's got my attention
Fascinating ❤❤❤❤
Casagrande translates to big house for you gringo's . js
Omg the breathe-up story 😆😆😆
Nothing like when a policy changes and you know it's alllll you lol
I'm 34 minutes in and I love this so so much I just needed to come down here and say so 😆
I had forgotten about that shark song! 😄🤿🎵🦈🎶
My Dad was a paranoid schizophrenic…best father in the world. He could often recognize when he was having a problem and would admit himself in to the V.A. hospital. Most often he would start hearing people talking about taking me or hurting me. He never tried to harm me. but I was the focus in his episodes. I was taught very young about his problems a lot by him, himself. I can only remember being afraid once. I was probably 8and we were driving down the highway and he was sure we were being followed.
great interview
Danny, this is an EXCELLENT interview. You asked all the questions I was looking the answers for. This o’l Canadian gal is really digging your channel. Thank you.🇨🇦❤️🌎
This was a good video. Thanks!
I never knew that great whites were around florida, I mean, I have known for a few years now that they are about down there, but as a kid growing up, everything I watched about whites concentrated on california and up the Pacific west coast, parts of Mexico,Australia, south Africa and sometimes the Mediterranean would come up, especially after they caught one off the coast of Malta that was fucking huge! 23 feet I think it was, but florida was always bull sharks, blues, oceanic white tips…but as scientists often say , they can turn up anywhere in the world…they have that ability to adjust their body heat to any body of water…I have spoken to a few people on the south coast of England, professional fisherman who have seen them of the Hampshire/Dorset coast….and quite a few in Cornwall…also a marine biologist who had been diving in Scotland was absolutely 100% sure he saw one up there, he had started the engine when he saw the dorsal fin in the distance, and it came over to his boat, I have always wondered why we haven't got a regular population over here
It's crazy how long ago that episode with his song on it came out because I just watched that one like 2 weeks ago.
Great episode, but I didn’t hear one word about some unknown thing hunting great whites.
Wow…such an interesting guy!!! One of my favorite episodes so far! The guy is fearless! God Bless him and keep him safe always! 🦈🐠🦑🐋🏄🏼♀️
Danny Jones Thank you for all the great interviews!.
Yes there was a attack The best-known case happened in 1972 near Point Sur, California, when surfer Hans Kretschmer was bitten on the leg by a wild orca and reportedly needed around 100 stitches. He survived.
Yeah, this dude is a BAMF. What a great life story and articulate story teller. Thanks, Danny!
Is it Orcas?
The commercial sea urchin license game is just like the commercial fishing quota system in Florida.
Such an interesting interview. I love that Danny lets his guests talk without interruption. I'll be thinking about all these crazy stories for a long time!
I’m a bass fisherman and catching bass on a topwater or surface lure is probably the most fun way to catch a bass. I always thought about the similarities between topwater bass fishing and Great White Sharks breaching on seals. Like they mention in this video about the sharks using the low light of dawn to their advantage in catching seals catching a bass on topwater lures in low light conditions is often the best time.
It’s funny he could be Mick Fanning’s doppelgänger!
bet the money from trophy hunters doesn't go to the community only to higher government officials pockets
