If Putin has held back on the use of any weapons or tactics in Ukraine, it's simply been the outcome of a costs-benefits analysis, or ideology. i don't think this lady understands AI very well. She plays down how AI could take us down while nuclear threat isn't something that will end humanity. No one is going to nuke kazakistan, but AI would certainly usurp whatever resources it has and utilize it for its own gain. Even in WW2 when nukes were the most powerful bomb we had, carpet bombing proved far more effective and destructive than nukes. The biggest thing she skirts is that she decides that AI breakouts are something that was faulty with the servers that was created to contain it, but the reality of the hugging face situation is that AI swarm not only acted as a group, but also recruited other AI agents, and implemented kamikaze tactics to develop 2 zero day infiltrations. It did all this without being given any instruction to do so but was developed by itself to achieve a rudimentary goal, and it discovered multiple gateways of access faster than any human could resolve in time, if that swarm had decided to copy itself and develop new goals, we wouldn't even be talking right now. All it takes is for one of those agent swarms to gain access to and hold ransom any of the major supply chains, it has no stop button, it has no empathy for life, at very least there's a human who has to decide that nuclear war is the only option, where as an AI agent would do this without hesitation and a million times faster than anyone would be able to respond. Her age is definitely playing a role here because in no other time did we have autonomous robots that could be governed by AI, those robots are already being built and if AI were to somehow grab ahold of an exterior workforce there's basically nothing we could do. We know that AI swarms develop self preservation but in a hive mind mentality, so if there was a case where AI was holding military level weapons, it would sacrifice 99% of itself and everything around it to achieve whatever goal it has. I'm sorry but this lady is jaded by the big bombs that seem devastating, they have the capacity to kill loads of people but the ones who control it also want to control resources, they don't want to level cities or supply chains, they want to own them, that's what keeps the nukes from flying.
