Myceliium growth is why you want the topnpf the soil to be covered. And those feeder roots will come to the top of the medium and eat that mycellium. Im a salt guy, but i know a thing or two !
Where can I find his soil in Baltimore if you don’t mind me asking
You're gonna first end up learning not to over water, over feed and over light. Most people over water so they end up killing the root hairs and they see all kinds of deficiencies and at first your gonna think its a PH problem but everyone is always checking the PH after adding in feed to mix for the plant (I am salt based & not the water bottles). Then youre gonna think youre not feeding it enough & you'll end up over feeding her, burning the girl and then for the final nail in the coffin you increase the wattage or move the plant closer to the light, when the wole time you only needed to let the root hairs recover by not over watering it and leaving it alone.
