Join Dr. Deron Caplan from the CannaCribs Horticultural Consulting team as he demonstrates the pour-through method, a critical technique for monitoring and managing nutrient delivery in the root zone of cannabis plants.
This video explains how to accurately measure electrical conductivity (EC) and pH levels in your growing media, which is essential for optimizing irrigation and fertilizer strategies. Learn step-by-step how to perform the pour-through method, from saturating your plants to collecting and analyzing the runoff. Dr. Caplan provides detailed instructions on ensuring your measurements are precise and how this method helps adjust your cultivation practices based on real-time data from the root zone, rather than relying on less accurate bulk runoff methods. Whether you’re a commercial grower or a home enthusiast, this video will help you understand your plants’ needs better and adjust your practices for maximum health and yield. Subscribe for more expert advice, and reach out for personalized consulting on optimizing your cultivation facility.

Does this work with 6" Gordan cubes as well?
Hi What is your opinion on Groww Ball? I have been hearing it increases the Yield in Cannabis significantly also increase THC
Please advise.
Use an ec-ph inside soil? So you can measure also the moisture
4.1 EC seems really high…am I missing something?
What is the range for flowering phase in coco50%/ perlite50% at vpd 1-2 ?? 4.1 ec in veg is not to high?
i dont often learn new things that actually make a difference.. thank you for this great video!
Mine would fry at 4.1 π
you can push to 5 ec and 5.7 ph in straight coco at that stage, and stack it to 8 ec as long as your top feed increases in ph . You have to take the value of the input and the output and divide it proportionally to get whats actually going on in the 3 layers of rootzone. Or get a digital meter and measure the bottom middle and top of the rootzone and adjust. I use a npk/ ph/ec/temp meter at the rootzone to develop my fert programs and they change with different mediums and irrigation techniques and dryback values. Noone else ive seen can measure npk ratios at the rootzone, most fly blind folded. some people do substrate samples but your behind the ball then. UC Davis in the house!
Woah 4.1 EC is extremely high
Them thrips going craaazy!
πͺπΌπ¨
4.1 is to high
What is the medium? Soil, soil less?
Did it say you had a PhD? In horticulture?
you can come over every week and do all that. im way too high and busy to wait 5 minutes between pours. bro.
