Thanks to Continental Tire for sponsoring today’s video! Click here https://bit.ly/3Ztb5Nf to learn more about the ExtremeContact DWS06+ tire.

We bought a $500 motorcycle and compared it to a brand new $50,000 Harley-Davidson to see if it’s really worth 100x the price.

  1. In the 80s a Harley guy (biker)told me a joke. He said he was at a light and a rice burner pulled up and the guy riding the Jap bike says "Hey Buddy, You want to race? The Harley guy says Yeah, meet me here in 20 years!!"

No lie…. I remember him telling me that like it was yesterday.

  2. Ok, this is bowling balls and coffee thermoses. The only thing these two have in common is two wheels.
First. 500 bones for a golden wing….nope. Not even one with 200,000 miles. And…if you managed that, it didn’t have a title.
Ok, the HD, has new…..everything right?
To make this fair, you need to fix all the shenanigans on the golden wing. Fork seals, new suspension oil, air ride, grease everything…brakes, wheel bearings, sinc and clean the carbs….wires and plugs, an oil change….Then…..you can compare them.
Alright…..now the HD is two cylinders of a 9 cylinder airplane engine. And, because HD designers are not allowed to stray. It still has the connecting rods riding on the same crank pin. And no matter the amount of VVT or CI displacement, or “the hateful eight” valve design. It’s still going to vibrate like a paint shaker.
This is why I have a golden wing. Because it’s linear….like an electric motor.
So, comparing these two machines isn’t even fair…..for either of them. They are soooooo different.
    Good video though.

  3. I ride an 02 ultra classic that i have about 4k invested in thats buying and fixing i would take the goldwing over that cvo any day i would never in a million years spend 50k on a motorcycle

  4. I think a more fair test would be to test it against an Ultra Limited. That one has a queen seat in the back and all the bells and whistles for touring, like stock heated grips. The Goldwing I am sure is great and comfy, but this is comparing if not apples and oranges, but oranges to tangerines. The Road Glide was designed to be more of a sporty bagger.

  5. This isn't a fair test you should have gotten the road glide ultra classic that has the trunk and tour pack then the back seat is the same you put a tour bike against a street highway bike not fair should be tour bike vs tour bike next time get a harley ultra classic with tour pack

  6. No contest. Honda every time. I remember doing a group test to the south of France. GL1800, Electraglide and some weird BMW 1200 cruiser. Nobody wanted to be on the Harley. Shite then. Shite now. The Honda was awesome.

  7. Only in the U.S can you find ANY Goldwing for £500. In the rest of Europe, a Goldwing from any generation that is literally disappearing into dust when you touch it due to rust will set you back over £1500
