30 thoughts on “Natural Alternatives For Home Growers! – From The Stash Podcast Ep.208

  1. I love BAS fermented willow. Usually try and jump on 4 ferments minimum per order for that 15% off. If I was rolling in dough, it'd be 12+gallons per order.

  2. Jyst a suggestion for an ipm spray you can use in flower: mix one part 4% or lower hydrogen peroxide to 9 parts water and mist leaves both on top and on the underside, as well as the stalk and branches. Do this in the morning after lights on so it has time to dry before lights out. Use only every other day for one week. Wait a week, repeat. Two rounds should do the trick for fungus gnats or spider mites. Mist the top of the soil as well, but do not soak it entirely.

  3. Marigolds actually don't repel pests that's a myth. Chrysanthemum, basil, thyme, mint, and rosemary however, do. Aloe helps water penetrate hydrophobic soil ( it's a surfactant similar to yucca) and also adds hormones and nutrients. Honey, aloe gel, willow tip water, and yucca are good for clones and transplants. Cinnamon is an anti fungal and repels gnats. Neem cake is great but neem oil is too smelly for my liking. Mushrooms and insect frass, as well as shrimp, crab, and lobster shells all contain chitin. Nature provides much of what we need. Stinging nettles make a great tea for watering plants and contains some nutrients as well. Some say comfrey too but I've found it doesn't do much.

  4. Thanks fotr sharing your knowledge! I use different oils like lavender, neem, peppermint as well as fresh cinnamon and clove. i tend to not mix them all together, because pests can develop resistances fairly easy and quick since most pests have a short lifecycle and generations form within weeks. I also use non pasteurised milk in mid veg to prevent any kind of funghi to grow especially powdery mildew and botritis.

  5. For pest prevention I use neem seed meal in my soil and insect frass from boogie brew at the last 2 hours of my compost tea. John Kohler from growing your greens YouTube channel is where I learned a lot of my organic gardening from for health reasons. You should get him on. He even has cannabis guys on his show from time to time

  6. @Pigeon420 @mr.growit and @rob cltv The amazing doctor zymes says you can use it up to harvest day and they have a person that you can contact to help you through the steps to make it work great

  7. The hidden gem for bug, pest, and disease is silica. Bruce Bugbee opened my eyes to this. I fed my outdoor, in the bush garden with heavy silicates of multiple sources and I saw pm everywhere but, not a single plant was infected. Meanwhile, my friend with an outdoor garden on a raised porch got their entire Hella Jelly was consumed by pm. His were clones of my Hella Jelly. Amino acids and things like plain Greek yogurt were also employed to great effects.
