In this video, we explore the science that analyzes how specific lighting wavelengths play in enhancing the growth, potency, and quality of cannabis buds. UV (UVA and UVB) and IR(infrared) lighting are all referenced in scientific journals that affect the quality of cannabis inflorescence(buds). As we study these scientific journals with actual grows we notice their paltry results and wonder if that may be a confounding variable to their actual tests. In response, we are conducting our own home grown experiment that will compare the effects of these different wavelengths. This would be considered bro science and I am always the type to speak through experience rather than anecdotal which is why I am still moving forward. I need your help.

I want to conduct a through UV-A, UV-B and IR light experiment using clones and having a control to compare it to and please make you suggestions on how you would conduct an experiment on how to conduct a study on the effectiveness of these supplemental lights.

The current setup will be:

Light: https://amzn.to/3UbMcDV USE CODE SFHWGROW
UV/IR Light (365-420nm, 730-745nm): https://bit.ly/4cRzVwy USE CODE SFHWGROW8
IR Light(650-665nm): https://amzn.to/3PXpFJv USE CODE SFHWGROW

Please comment on how YOU would configure the supplemental lighting and plants based on the pieces above. The best comment will receive a free supplemental light of their choice from Spider Farmer’s website.

The Experiment – Science vs. Bro Science:

In 3 months, we will flower 2 plants under different supplemental lighting and attempt to validate or debunk common cultivation myths surrounding the use of supplemental UV and IR lighting in cannabis growth. Through this home grow controlled cultivation trial, we will analyze the tangible impacts of these light spectrums on cannabis inflorescence, focusing on measurable outcomes such as THC concentration and overall cannabinoid content. The results will be released in a future video and documented on a public grow journal on our discord.

Here is an example of an absolutely disgusting sugar coated grow with UV supplemental lighting: https://bit.ly/3PX6jnU
