Open my eyes
See myself in you
Never wanted to
Bathe myself in blue
Colored in the light
Darkest in the day
Left my soul with stains
Hardly made it through
Never left a scar
Broken from afar
I feel it's true for you
Fade into the red
Forced to slip ahead
I know it's true in you
So break these confines that you made
The restlessness will fade, it will fade
Replace the feeble path you chase
You're losing your escape
Is this your fate?
Never left a scar
Broken from afar
I feel it's true, for you
Fade into the red
Forced to slip ahead
I know it's true in you
You felt erased by the true
Sacrifices made
So I'm told
I tried to keep us safe from my mistakes
This song helps me reflect on life and its challenges.
Honestly, love putting Emberglow, then Heavener, and then this as three final songs of this album's playlist. Such an amazing progrssion as the chaos of this record dies down, and clarity slowly settles in, with this one being a somber, bittersweet farewell to the album.
Reminds me of Cornfield Chase a bit
wow this is so beautiful 🤍
