Boeing was once seen as one of the best engineering firms in the world. Today they’re plagued with scandals and constantly put profits before the lives of people. What went wrong? In this episode, we find out.

24 thoughts on “Boeing’s Downfall [Greed Over Safety] feat. Mentour Pilot

  1. Mentor Pilot is wrong. The 737 Max was unstable. Nothing 'crept' into the MCAS. The Max was unstable because Boeing engineers thought MCAS was only needed at cruising speeds to compensate for the forward nose-up attitude due to the new mounting position of the more powerful and larger Leap engines, a few small adjustments by MCAS to the stabilizer trim on the screw jack..but.. it was so unstable that engineers discovered they needed MCAS to compensate just after takeoff after flaps were withdrawn and auto stabilizer trim engaged. Basically MCAS was needed for most of the time required to ascend to cruising altitude.
Of course the flip-flopping of AoA sensors on each subsequent flight added to the Russian Roulette of chance to when a faulty sensor would decide the fate of all souls onboard.

  2. we are In the End times also Jesus is the only way! Jesus is coming / rapture soon!../

Jacobs troubles ( 7 year tribulation / hell on earth ) is coming ( Israel formally declares war against Hamas / But now Israel is Surrounded on 7 Fronts… ) If we Christians disappear soon, Your know the Lord has taken us Home! Now we need prayed for the Jews and to get many people saved as possible… also Jews going sacrifice red heifers soon!

    Romans 10:9-13

    King James Version

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on haim shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    Acts 2:38-39

    King James Version

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

  3. You are sorely close-minded and misinformed if you think this is the downfall of Boeing lmao. ts fair to criticize them but this will NEVER sink the company nor ever halt its production of planes. Anything that has happened lately is but a speedbump along the way for the company.

  4. Boeing technicians refusing to board their own planes! Can you imagine a chef refusing to have a taste of his own food; ya I cooked the food but i can’t taste it. Why? Because I don’t trust my cooking. But you think it is good for the customers? O yeah, customers don’t know, they just want to eat when they are hungry. Poor customers, we are always the victims eating the garbage.

  5. The problem is that McDonald’s Douglas took over Boeing if you remember the DC 10 that had problems and they knew about it and the plane crashed several times and they need to fix and didn’t a damn thing because of the fucking passenger door where they store all the luggage they didn’t fix FAA threatened them so they took over Boeing brought all that baggage over to Boeing. That’s why the planes are crashing. They need to get rid of all X McDonald people at the top.!!

  6. So this is number so many of clear and horrifing reports about the Boeing safety "standards". WHEN ARE WE ALL AS HUMANS TOGETHER, going to stop the power of the share holders?

  7. I worked for a company that made turbine blades for airplane engines and its inline with the video. MFG company was aquired by private equity firm who stopped re investing in operations and allowed facility to fail into disrepair. The manufacturing process could no longer produce parts within spec but a culture of fear and blaming lower level employees meant that nothing would interrupt production. Common practice included repeatedly processing the same part thru inspection and changing the serial number for parts that couldn't pass. I left that company about 4 years ago thinking it's only a matter of time before it comes down on them.

  8. Boeing's knees buckle when it comes to deadlines. That's when they rush. Airline companies are just as greedy… Boeing is also hiring way more than it needs to at union locations probably to bait some corporate favored votes in the next strike. They'll layoff a good grip in the fall/early winter is my guess

  9. It’s interesting that your bias against Boeing is so obvious. What’s crazy is that you don’t even need to add to the pile-on, as Boeing has pretty much shot itself in the foot in 2024.

Instead, you go back in the timeline and call out incidents like United Airlines flight 811 and Aloha Airlines flight 243. This is where your bias (presumably for viewership boosts) is showing.

UA 811 investigation yielded a number of callouts, including Boeing part design. However, the lion’s share of responsibility was on the airline for failing to conduct adequate inspection checks.

In the case of Aloha 243, I have no idea why you’d call out Boeing on this at all. NTSB found the airline maintenance program’s failure to detect fatigue damage to be the probable cause of the accident.

  10. Boeing's main parts supplier is Spirit Aerosystems with dodgy and often illegal production practices in non compliance and de compliance with the industry's standards and regulations to keep on profiteering from such conducted criminality by its plant in N.Ireland Belfast.

  11. Maybe it's societal, not just Boeing. It's an education system that churns out engineers with little shop floor experience and no way to gain old school knowledge. Young ppl with little wrenching skills designing and maintaining machines that hold people's precious lives in it's belly. Bean counters have little business running engineering centric enterprises. Unchecked greed is the path to failure. 😔

  12. There is no single problem here. There is no root cause. This is a systemic, complex problem that will be a bitch to fix. Boeing prefers profit over safety. Boeing is in bed with the US Government. Airlines pressure Boeing to make planes that won't require any new pilot training and consequent downtime for pilots. The FAA's not doing its job. Spirit Aerosystems is too tied in with Boeing. The list goes on and on. It will take people at the top with a strong moral compass and the will to refuse selling out to right this ship, but it can be done. Personally, I wouldn't know where to begin.

  13. Boing is rules By Mutual funds who mange Americans retirement money as Index funds who decide nothing beside ESG and DEI metrix..and Unions who destroyed nearly all American industries …and the english to..and they are not coming back unless the abergae chines income will rise to to 100 k per month, then maybe a chance

  14. They can not approach the board. These guys are dangerous that's all I am saying. You know why cus they have found new ways of not only making billions but making billions for generations to come. So why would they even bother a plane manufacturing company who applies the same fkn design to every plane as it is the only way to fly. They call people to question the entegrity of the system and the people they are voting for. I think people most wake up and ask more questions. Instead of living with what they are given. Plus this all might be connected with… ok ok I am not going to do conspiracy. =D

  15. Hello, Mr. Altraide. I would like to thank you for producing this excellent video. Your erudition and articulation are greatly appreciated. I think all three of the reasons that you mentioned are responsible for Boeing's failures. It is absolutely mind-boggling that a corporation that specializes in an industry wherein safety and structural excellence are paramount could countenance getting away with cutting corners. It's as if they thought that there would never be consequences — that is arrogance on a galactic scale. This also highlights one of the problems with monopolies in any given industry. The lack of any real competition can delude corporations into thinking that they can lower their standards on a whim. If the American airline manufacturing industry had more competition, then that alone would ensure that all parties are committed to delivering a quality product. Genuine competition by nature creates a system of checks and balances. The regulatory authorities created a monster — fingers can and should be rightly pointed at multiple parties.
