  1. I spent many a Saturday at a mall in Merryville Indiana with my mom and brother, would love to experience that again but both have passed and I miss them and the experiences we had back in the early 80s

  2. The hot Bavarian Pretzels were fabulous, and with Orange Julius' famous drink, a great snack, between my stops at Radio Shack! Friendly's Ice Cream( a local favorite) was in Eastfield Mall(now, demolished), I miss these times!

  3. I used to love going to farrells until they came out with sparklers and sung happy birthday to me it used to scare me lol the one in San Diego burned down I wondered if it was from the sparklers 🤔

  4. Hey, I remember "Harvest House" restaurant! I didn't know that Woolworth's owned it! My mother took me to the one in St. Louis' River Roads Mall in the '60's and '70's! Great food and service! Those were the days!

  5. We had no mall in our city, but lived about 30-45 minutes from a mall. It had an Arcade area, Radio Shack, Sears, JC Penney, Yogurt shop, mom and pop clothing stores(some of them had nice clothing and one store had pants of colors that you rarely saw), Hibbets shoe store, Books a Million, and I know they had multiple restaurants(but no big franchise names that I remember–mainly because we never chose to eat in them[chose Capt. Ds restaurant in another area in the city over dining at the mall] and we were from out-of-town on isolated family outings and didn't get to go malling two times a week: try 4-6 times a year!) In going only a few times a year, there was a tendency to forget the names of places that did not have a name that you come across today nor had a iconic name. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and utterly enjoyed the mall; it was my favorite place to go!
