  1. I was at this concert. Took place at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Maryland Heights MO. He stopped a minute in to Animals and restarted. He ended up tapping out from playing Burn It To The Ground which was the encore, which is completely understandable since it is an aggressive song and would be extremely harsh on his vocal cords.

  2. I was at that show, huge huge respect for him and the whole band helping out and continuing the show. Felt really bad for him because you can tell he's in pain. Rock on Nickelback 🤘🤘

  3. Let’s take a moment to realize that Chad is 48 and still singing songs like Burn It to the Ground. There are no low notes in that with the exception of the beginning of the final verse. That, Because of You, Side of a Bullet, all songs they’ve played live in recent years with Chad being in his 40s.

I saw them 2 days ago in Ohio. I had no clue about this until now because of how great of a show they put on.

  4. I was at the concert and it was fantastic! Probably made it better knowing he was putting everything he had into it. I admire the honesty and LOVE me some Nickelback!

  5. We sure dont see Corey Taylor doing this with his voice. And dont have to go through this. NICKLEBACK is worth a nickle them people need thier nickleback. Plus how is someone that is so full of themself blast bands and say im the best but yet his voice is blowen out.

  6. The Nickelback hate is a national joke, everybody says they hate Nickelback but will sing every note when alone in their car. Also I can't take anybody in a Ghost T-shirt seriously when they are talking about music. That band is a joke I found them on Spotify when in a metal playlist there were 5 skipped songs just so happened all 5 songs were Ghost. I can handle the fact he likes Nickelback we all do but Ghost makes me question if I'm wrong about Nickelback they are that garbage…

  7. It takes a real man to be honest to his fans about something like this he has my respect good luck man I wish you all the prayers for a full recovery 🙏🤘🤘🤘✌️🖤🤘🤘🤘🙏

  8. As a vocalist myself I know really well what’s dealing with vocal issues unable to do what you love the most. As much respect as Chad deserves, I can’t clap back at him for forcing an already fatigued voice. That can easily break your voice for the rest of your career.

  9. Chad Kroeger is such a f#$king infant about literally everything.
There are so many bands that have been around longer than him that have got down and dirty, put their lives at risk at shows, muscled through sets even though they were about to drop (and sometimes they did!) instead of letting their fans down but "wittle Chad has a wittle ouchy dwy thwoat" so he has to whine about it and hint at ending the show in front of thousands of fans until the rest of the band talks some sense into him? Seriously?

Lemmy was still touring playing 2 hour gigs just weeks before he finally succumbed to cancer and passed away.

    F#$K. YOU.

If you can't hack it then stand aside Chad, let the grown ups on the stage.

  10. I've legit seen bands half ass a show 10x worse than this without saying a word. I didn't see the rest of the set, but what they were doing as a band seemed fine.

    Gold star 🌟Chad

  11. Hey I was there! This was at Hollywood Casino Amp in Maryland Heights (St. Louis) on 8/3. This was just a couple songs into the set. I'm glad they still continued on. You could tell Chad was struggling a bit at times, but the other guy in the band did a good job helping out with the singing. I'm very glad they decided to continue on, as it was still a very good show.

  12. Respect to Chad for being upfront about his vocal issues.

Now if only Wes Scantlin could do the same instead of blowing his voice out every night pretending as if nothing's wrong

  13. Brent Smith did that last year when I saw Shinedown. Three songs in he said he can't sing because of bronchitis and the audience pretty much sang every song for him, he struggled but he made it through. Next stop was cancelled
