0:00 Intro – Click show more under the video to read more.
0:05 From the looks of it, the customer has rolled back the miles on the odometer to hopefully get an engine covered under warranty. However the oil filter looks new, so maybe they just changed that in hopes that it looks like they serviced their vehicle often, but looking underneath the oil pan says otherwise. Customer’s insurance company got involved and I’ll give an update if I get one.
0:27 Work order shows top on left (CEL and has hard brake pedal).
Check engine light was on as a sensor was faulty. The technician shared the work order as well since he knew most people probably wouldn’t believe this otherwise. He said this is the strangest/funniest one he has ever seen.
0:39 The center vents were closed.
0:50 Vehicle was left in 1st gear so the engine was still rotating while being flat towed behind their camper van. The engine self-destructed.
1:03 The technician said their’s no state inspections where he is from so a lot of vehicles like this are driven on the roads.
1:16 The vehicle was left at this dealership and never picked up. The technician said he’s not sure what happened as he doesn’t work at that dealership anymore.
1:33 Exhaust is secured to the driveshaft. The customer told the technician he did not know what a driveshaft was and that it rotated.
1:39 “The customers were actually very cool about it. The car was hit hard in the driver’s side prior. They have owned it for a little over a month and bought it as a salvage title.”
1:49 “Oh I know, my son said he could weld so we didn’t use a body shop. It looked pretty bad so I stood on it and tried to break it but it held so I just left it. He then argued with me that it would hold up just as well in a wreck as the first time.”
2:07 Nissan 350Z. The shop removed the factory coil springs so the customer could adjust the ride height with the coil overs he installed.
2:16 The customer had a Rottweiler that did all of this damage to the inside of his truck. Karma?
2:27 If you look at the brake rotor you can see that the brake pad doesn’t contact all of the brake rotor. Some vehicles have different sizes of brake rotors/brake pads depending on the model, so something to keep in mind when installing new brakes.
2:38 Cans were left in the center console.
2:44 The Ford Transit was only a few years old but had a ton of miles on it as it was used for deliveries, but never serviced in the two years of ownership besides once.
2:56 This happened in Washington (no state inspections), so that’s why this vehicle is still on the road. The mechanic said he’s not sure why the customer decided to just drain the engine oil on the ground.
3:04 The people who filmed this were just driving and found that this vehicle was still somehow driving on the roads. The cops were called as they thought this was very unsafe.
3:15 Outro. Thanks for watching!

37 thoughts on “Customer States Ever Since They Changed Their Oil, Their Car Doesn’t Start

  1. I’m a dual mechanic, aviation and automotive. I’ve seen some hilarious customer states and have seen some interesting DIY installations or repairs but nothing compares to some of the stuff I’ve seen on this channel.

I drive a 2013 Raptor and you can’t do donuts in a Raptor. It blows the power steering system.

  2. I guess electric has its place but people are gonna come in saying my car won't start. All they had to do was plug it in because they decided to use their car as a big flashlight and left it on at night. I don't mind converting my Sonoma to electric with a 5 speed, no clutch too.

  3. I really like that people who have money for Lexus think that "car mechanics are stupid" and they will not see what they exactly at real made with that car 😀 dumb egoistic kids like in kindergarden 😀

  4. I don’t understand why I hear from drivers “oh I’m not a mechanic so how am I to know this or that is bad”

    It’s called common sense

  5. I've said it before, & I'll say it again: American vehicle owners/drivers truly worry me. I'm also horrified by the apparent complete lack of any Federal laws requiring an annual vehicle safety inspection. Where is the mandated 'TUV' or 'MOT'?! Construction & Use Laws?! Basic common sense?!

  6. That last one can we all agree while they are a moron for driving that car but still be amazed by how amazing of a driver they are lmao like to drive that way yet still stay in your lane…..like i see all the time people driving a regular vehicle or even small narrow cars and still can not stay inside their own lane

  7. You need to be charged with impeding an investigation you belligerent prick! How hard is it to answer a few simple questions? How are the cops supposed to get anything done if everyone “knows their rights” and refuses to answer questions?

  8. I just don't understand things like the shoes behind the brake pedal. How can you manage to drive a car in the first place, but not be able to figure out that there are shoes preventing the pedal from moving?
