8. I wanted one of these growing up. I read somewhere in Car & Driver magazine when paper magazines were a thing that VW looked at this design for the Scirroco. Their loss for passing on it if it’s true.

29. We bought this car new and I learned to drive on it. It broke down all the time and nobody wanted to fix it but it was fun to rally around in. Great memories.

34. This would have made an awesome swap candidate, you’ve already done some of the common ones (k series, ls, 2jz, etc) so putting something in unexpected in a car that rare would be pretty cool. Maybe a cobalt ss or srt4 swap, or go way left field an put a vw tdi in it and make it roll coal🤷‍♂️

38. There was an Impulse in the Cannonball Run. A black one, driven by a couple Asian guys. Had a bunch of high tech stuff, for the time, and could drive at night with NO headlights, using infrared!
    They were cool back then!
