37 thoughts on “We Drove the WORST Military Truck (It Got Worse)

  1. I drove one in Germany. It was so slow that our Battery commander would tell our service battery to tow the vehicle and I'd ride in the back of their 5 ton. It would only do 55 down hill. It was fine offroad and on the tank trails, but the speed and handling was horrible on asphalt.

  2. For those who don't know, "military grade" means it can take a SERIOUS beating before it fails. However, it ALSO means that it was built by the cheapest bidder.

  3. They didn’t pull it from service after only 4 yrs. It served until the late 80s before noise and health regulations and reliability issues pretty much killed it, also after being replaced by things like the HUMVEE and CUCV.

  4. It's amazing how a 3 cylinder detroit enging is overpowering in a vehicle. Ya, i was a 63C in the army and had to work on them. At least you can do a brake job and not have to pull the wheel off.

  5. it’s amazing that thing has an engine that still runs probably as good as new and no rust after all this time. if they took off the trailer, it would’ve easily made it through the drive-through.

  6. That’s hilarious, if you look closely, you see the Ford super duty with the empty trailer following y’all. I guess there weren’t high expectations. This thing would reach the destination and back?
