  1. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of this single. I get that they're trying to experiment and do something different and they always have had a different feel with each album, but it's always remained heavy metal. This new single just doesn't sound like A7X to me, it feels like they're trying to completely change from the genre that they're known for. The only thing that makes it resemble a Sevenfold song to me is M. Shadows' vocals and the Syns guitar solo. I don't hate it, I don't love it. I'm hoping they have something a little more traditional in this new album. Regardless of how I feel about it, I'm glad they're back to making music again.

  2. It's weird but in the best possible way. It takes a lot of guts to do something experimental like that. Cudos to them dude. Although I do miss when they were nightmare heavy.

  3. I don't really find the new song to be any weirder than the rest of their songs. "The Stage" was a huge curveball from HTTK and it's some of their best work. Nobody' hits hard!

  4. This is based on them opening their eyes and accepting Jesus into their lives. A tear in the sky happens in the darkness when you cry out his name, you feel like nobody untill he shows you what your life you occupy your time in physical with rather then God spiritually. People don't like it because he's speaking the Word of God in his own message. The word is the sword and it drives away any evil that hears it or is occupied by evil.

  5. You know, music has basically gotten a heavy as it can get. Go find the heaviest metal band you know… it can't get a whole lot heavier. It's nice to see a band like A7x keep the heavy while doing something other than dropping their tunings, getting 4 extra strings on guitar, and trying to find the -1 fret.

  6. Syn's guitar saved this song. As a huge fan, and waiting so many years for new music, expectations are very high so was not overly excited about the first single but have high hopes for the album.

  7. To me, the interpretation of the music video is this:
A man is depressed in the world and body he lives in. So his soul travels around the earth and through history to find peace and joy. He realizes that the world is full of death and destruction and so meets the devil who then tells him he will take the man's soul to a eutopic paradise. The man agrees and lets the devil take him to this eutopic paradise in a different world. When the man arrives he realizes that this "perfect place" is actually an artificially created hell where no one else exists and everything is fake (because a perfect artificial eutopic world does not actually exists). And so the mans soul runs to the edge of this hell and jumps off into the space time continuum to then rejoin his body. The moral of the story is to be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Be careful searching for paradise because what you think is paradise might actually be hell in the end.

  8. As a big fan of them, Im going to support whatever they do, and I love their experimental stuff. I’m definitely all for it if they’re continuing their progressive metal theme from The Stage.

  9. I personally think it sucked and I’m not excited one bit for the new album. They’ve been going downhill for nearly 10 years now

  10. We do have a track list if you look on iTunes the track list is
    game over,
    mattel,
    nobody,
    we love you,
    cosmic,
    beautiful morning,
    easier,
    G,
    (O)rdinary,
    (D)eath,
    life is but a dream

  11. Hope the whole album sounds different from "The Stage", no hating but the album feels/sounds weak

This new single already sounds like "the Stage"…even the mv is from Tje Stage album cover🗿

  12. Bro it’s literally the stage Pt 2. Don’t get me wrong, song isn’t bad, but it isn’t amazing either. Just sounds like they’re continuing their spacey long drawn out songs from the last album.

  13. A strange and different sound, but excited for new A7X music. Looks to me like a lot of other bands they are making a statement about the state of affairs going on in the world right now, they're not great. List of song titles I've seen could fit the possibility. Looking forward to hearing the album as a whole to see 🦇🤘

  14. I don't understand why people are saying this song is weird? Makes total sense to me. It's massive, dreamy, cinematic, and hits hard. I've listened to the song upwards of 15 times now and I can confidently say it's an all timer for me in their discography. Can't wait to hear the album, loving the new sound. Brooks was totally the right move, he KILLS it.

  15. Been a A7X fan forever and I have to say I don't dig the new song and yes I can tell it's experimental and different which is good. Excited for the new record to drop
