This very special Smugglers episode of First Smoke of the Day is brief but explosive. With a Netflix special (Bad Sport) Out everywhere Randy Lanier, one of the largest smugglers in US history, sits down to talk about what life was like smuggling over 661,000 pounds into the US. From small moves to big and how life took that wild course that ended with a Life Sentence in Prison. But, before all that, he was able to stay under the radar for decades from when he started smuggling at An early age of 19. As Randy gets older and the Smuggling gets bigger and bigger he graduates and talks about what it’s like smuggling 100,000 pounds plus at a time while owning a race team and being the primary driver for his own successful Pro Race team. Both of these Professional level passions and careers Randy was exceptional at. Randy was Pro Rookie of the Year driver who also beat Mario Andretti Jr’s record. Randy talks about meeting his Colombian connection and the specific ”old school” strains he was able to smuggle and smoke. This is a Very interesting episode to hear the massive amounts and focused ”friends/crews“ that were needed to handle a business of this kind. What it was like eventually getting arrested and convicted by nothing more than Snitches with no actual physical cannabis evidence. After Receiving a life sentence at the time and doing over 30 years in federal prison to one day getting the opportunity of getting out. Now Randy is relentlessly helping to free other non violent drug offenders with his Prisoner Project he helps head up.   7. Check out my homies uncle "Billy Greer" was caught bringing 162 tons (TONS) of Moroccan hash in the 90s, this 1 shipment coming in to the US via the Saint Lawrence Seaway in Montreal/Canada. That's what they busted on his ship, 162 mfn TONS!! Took the feds 3yrs to catch Billy & the caught him n Vermont where he's from. He got & did 27yrs n the FEDS, he actually ran for governor of Vermont while he was in The Federal Penitentiary 😂 😳 He would be a incredible guest!! I'm good friends w his nephew. He's out now btw. Serious OG baller!!
