Hey guys, my band was playing at a club there in ABQ that week, and our guitarist Levi actually filmed that video. That guy had been in the store several times before starting shit.

My only suggestion would have been to hold him until the cops came. I think this was a mistake.
I did the very same thing to a shoplifter stealing groceries the guy then makes out he’s a victim crying like a little girl but once I tell him get f up or you’re really going to hurt when I start kicking his butt hey got up so fast and left the store area! They are all the same. Just worthless trash low life’s

I personally wouldn't want to get anywhere near this guy, let alone tackle him. If I had done something like this at my former employer (I'm retired) you'd likely be hung/fired because they wouldn't back you up. No excuses unless you were bleeding or dead. Call the police and try to stay out of harm's way whatever that takes. Our security guards were unarmed and would do the same.
