40 thoughts on “Mick Mars Files SHOCKING Motley Crue Lawsuit After Retirement Announcement

  1. If this happened to a regular people with a regular job, it's totally against Ada American with disability act and request for the reasonable accommodation that. Being said it would be interesting to watch the progress of this case.

  2. It should be simple math. Mick can't gig, he pays the 'hired gun'. Each take half a $take (12.5%) and StFU.
5% is BS. You know they aren't giving the hired gun 20%. Not even 15%. Probably offered him 5, he accepted, and they each wanna take 30. Motley Fuckin KISS

  3. Micks getting burned but I would love a John 5 written crue album. I’m honestly not excited about new crew music although I love the classics. I don’t think Vince can keep up with John 5 songs

  4. Who cares Vince is morbidly overweight. He could barely sing live when he was at his best. He can't sing at all anymore. Everyone knows musically Nikki is a hack. It was time to hang it up years ago. Good though for John 5, guy is an amazing player and I am sure he is making some good $ for doing this.

Also, why would you need to pre-record Motely Crue bass parts? They are very simple. It's not like Nikki is being asked to play Jaco Pastorius or something.

  5. Without Mick, there would be no Motley Crue. I feel bad for his back condition (if you read the DIRT book, you understand). I understand the legalities can become too complex to understand in a 9 minute youtube video. However to the band's defense, I do understand their desire to continue to tour if Mick can't tour and that if he can't tour, then it DOES make sense to me that he'd have to take a reduced cut, simply by not being present. The pre-recording of various band members parts is a valid argument, but they are at least showing up on the tour. If pre-recording is a problem, how about the auto-tune microphones which can make a singer sound perfectly in tune even if they're having a bad night. Real-time auto-tune is very commonly used these days, even in the so-called "tiny desk" performances and other performances claimed to be performed live. Live music should indeed be 100% live otherwise it's just Mili Vanili for me and they might as well have a DJ on stage with the members walking around and some strippers on poles and call that a concert. I can see how Mick is pissed. The other 3 guys are present, but, then again, not really 100% present.

So it's going to be interesting how this all plays out. Probably will be settled out of court.

  6. It’s no surprise for those that went to the 2022 tour. MM was the only one that sounded live and well. MC overall were embarrassingly terrible… the back tracks were so extreme and louder than vocals and guitar that literally shook the stadium floor and the audience the entire act. Just awful… and I’m a fan.

  7. From what I can tell, there seems to be universal support for Mick. A great guy as far as I'm concerned. With the amount of pain he must have been in for many years, he still managed to go out there and deliver every night. If that was me, I would have retired years ago. I think it's just plain obvious that he really loves what he was doing, despite how painful it was to do it. Looking back, even during their early years, Mick still managed to keep himself out of trouble, and I really can't recall there ever being any controversy surrounding him, aside from the company he keeps lol. Being the sole guitarist in a band can't be easy when you have to shift between rhythm and lead, and back, and then back again. For my money, it would be completely acceptable if portions of his performance were prerecorded. I would certainly forgive him that, but not the other three. At this point, the rest of them are just phoning it in.

  8. Too funny… Never believe Motley Crue especially the media. You sound very dumb. Motley Crue never had a dime when it was a garage band. Who's going to play Nikki parts? Where's these people and how much Nikki paid them?lol Nikki's parts are very easy..3-4 notes.

  9. Mötley Crüe isn't themselves without all original members!!!!! And as far as people saying Mick was the only decent guy in the band……. WTF are you to judge?!!!! Don't get me wrong, Mick is a great guy and guitar player!!!!

  10. Mick was the true talent of that band. Tommy is a great rock drummer but in reality a drunken blow hard man child. Vince needs to go back to entering chicken dance contests at amusement parks and county fairs. Nikki is nothing but a sanctimonious bum. I really hope Mick comes out with a solo project with Corabi on vocals. It would be far more superior to anything that Motley has done in 25 years.

  11. Mars was the only member with true talent. Vince, Tommy, and Nikki (especially) are the 3 biggest hasbeens in this whole industry. John 5 is talented maybe a little too talented to fill any shoes for a band like motley crue, he's more of a fan then a member (or fill in for just touring) then representing the name. It's time to retire all together and stay retired. But remember just another opinion

Seen them in '09 during crue fest 2, Tommy was injured and didn't play, came out and told everybody to "f**k off" the only reason for staying any longer than we all did was mars' playing. Couldn't understand a word from Vince even back then, Morgan rose (drummer) from sevendust filled in for Tommy.

Don't get me wrong I was a crue fan since childhood, seeing posters of Tommy upside down playing drum solos was a reason I started drumming, just a huge disappointment when time came to finally see them, and seeing and hearing all this controversy with everybody basically forcing the only member who stayed to himself over 40+ years is absolutely
    Disrespectful

  12. It's sad how after all this time, Nikki's money hungriness takes over and tries to make Mick look bad, when if it wasn't for him and his superb guitar playing made them one of the biggest bands. I am slowly losing respect for Nikki and his badmouthing of Mick. He's lucky to be alive after all the crap he went through with his addiction and this is how he thanks everyone? This is purely my opinion and speculation on what's going on, but I hope Mick pulls through and gets what he deserves! 🤘🤘 Rock on Mick Mars🤘🤘

  13. Totally sad they treat a lifetime friendship like dirt I always been a big fan of Mick and hope he teaches them a lesson on doing the right things in life.

  14. There would not a motley Crue as a successful band without M.Mars by far is the most talented musician among a group of posers with egos. Way larger than their talent over all I loved M.crues albums but with the way they are treat M.Mars never will I buy anything from Motley fake again

  15. I got to go backstage at a Motley Crue concert around 1986. My bff’s Dad was working with the extra security(he was a local policeman and did security on the side)so he snuck us back. Tommy Lee wasn’t there with everybody else because they said he drank a huge bottle of Jack Daniels and was hurling in the bathroom. Most of the people backstage were flocking around Nikki and Vince. Mick was sitting on a couch alone. I was just standing awkwardly not far from it. He points at me and motions for me to sit down if I wanted to. So I thought hell yeah I’ll sit on the couch with ya. He was so chill and nice.He noticed we smoked the same brand ( Marlboro light100’s) of cigarettes and offered me one and I took it. He lit it for me. I was thinking omg I can’t believe I’m sitting here with Mick f’n Mars.We just made small talk and he asked me did I like the show and stuff like that. It wasn’t very long and my friend’s Dad tells us we had to leave. For a 17 year old girl it was by far the coolest thing that had ever happened to me.😂

  16. That first photo. It's so obviously NOT Nikki Sixx. It's an imposter. The real one must be dead or something. The eyes are totally different. So is the hair on the jawline. Not Nikki.

  17. He absolutely deserves his 25% cut…….let the man retire with dignity….he worked for that cut for many years and he absolutely deserves to continue to receive it….

  18. Nikki Sixx never could play the bass whatsoever, ask them about the studio bassist that played on the dr feelgood record! after dr feelgood most if not all of nikki's base lines were pre recorded.

  19. It's interesting because Mick Mars is the steadiest most consistent member of the band (both musically and from a personality standpoint). You never know what to expect from the other three both on and off stage. For every great band, there is seemingly always one member that provides the glue. For example, in Van Halen you had Michael Anthony. In Toto, you had David Paich. In Genesis, you had Mike Rutherford. In Journey, you had Jonathan Cain. Mick Mars was the glue for Motley Crue.

  20. I understand where Mick is coming from, and I'd like to be more supportive of him because he really has carried the band a long time… but I don't think it's reasonable to demand the same exact cut from touring money that he would get if he actually joined the band on the tour.

    Am I missing something here?
