where is smells like teen spirit, jeremy, song 2, californication, basket case and learn to fly?
Smack My Bitch Up was another one that had cross over appeal, and was controversial.
None of tools videos have the band in it
Metallica “one” is my all time favorite song and video
It looks like I'm the only one whose going to point out the horrific animal ab*se of that monkey in the NIN video…. that everyone just casually skips over like we just watched someone flip a light switch or open a door.
I have not doom scrolled the comments and with total respect to Finn i am so disappointed that during the Fred Durst/cameos with lasting relevance there was not a freeze frame from Pauly Shore just to remind us all that no one is 100% on their forecasts lol. Excellent list.
"Freak on a Leash" was that definitive music video for me being a teenager in 1998…thanks for this video…I am enjoying your content
This kinda seemed more like your personal favorite list, rather than a list of the videos that were actually iconic in rock music. You included several videos that didn't even stand out to me when they came out, while leaving out some of the most well known videos in music. When you do this list without including "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or "I Stay Away" by Alice In Chains, it limits the credibility of the list. The puppets from "I Stay Away" are actually housed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "Man in the Box" was the first hit of the Grunge movement. "Jeremy" was a very influential video as well. There were a lot of videos that should have been included on this list.
That last song & video suck so much ass. Nothing but a mumbled pro junkie song recorded by two dopes in front of a cell phone camera. Not edgy & groundbreaking but rather sad & pathetic.
Anyone remember bones thugs and harmony?
Really jumped the shark with that last one… or should i say swam with the dolphins (gnr video reference)
A little piece of heaven…avenged sevenfold
Twisted sister…we're not gonna take it😃
It's not in your list but since you mentioned Korn's "Falling away from me" video, I would like to add the fact that is directed by Fred Durst.
he said lil peep and I immediately became suicidal
The fact that Smells Like Teen Spirit or Black Hole Sun isn't here is aboslutely INSANE to me
Just starting this video, hoping you mention You only live once by suicide silence! Lol
No "Black Hole Sun"? One of the most visually stunning and twisted videos of the grunge era.
come on bro I usually nine times out of 10 you hit the nail square up on the head straight up but then sometimes you say the stupid s*** them TV and videos did not push Metallica into super start them I hated videos when they were doing the Justice tour they were with Ozzy and half the crowd would walk out after Metallica was done they pushed themselves into Superstar the mostly some say I don't agree but by selling out on the Black album and they were pretty damn famous before that by just hardcore ass road dog torn with good ass thrash metal music
Jeremy from Pearl Jam is a great video too, the history and the performance of the kid is mind blown
I was staying up late watching television one night in high school and saw the Closer video on MTV. That video freaked me out but made me very curious about NIN. When I went off to college and got into my dorm room the first CD I bought was The Downward Spiral.
I’ve been binging your videos man, but you missed the mark on Guns n Roses November Rain, the song and video that ended GnR. When you lose Slash, it’s not GnR anymore. The guy was out of his mind on drugs and booze, and even he could still see that that song and video were horseshit.
i'm from thre same city and art school as Todd
Th3 guy who did the opening mini film of se7en is probably the best in the game at it, he did Girl With The Dragon Tattoo as well, and with the NIN remix its a movie in itself
Peep ? Lmao 🤣 dude is trash
awesome for mentioning switchblades.
That peep and lil Tracy video is what got me into lil peep. It's a shame he died young.
Emo rap isn't a fucking part of us. Gtfo
