0:00 Intro
0:05 What you see is a broken u-joint on the front driveshaft of a 2013 BMW 535xi with 175000 miles / 281635 kilometres. The u-joint broke and took a huge chunk of the engine from the looks of it, and that’s why the customer saw a leak.
This would definitely be louder than a “ding”. This just happened so the technician doesn’t know what the customer will be doing yet with his vehicle.
0:23 This is on a 2004 Mazda BT-50 truck with a 3L engine. The technician said whoever did the engine rebuilt left everything loose. He quoted the customer to get the engine rebuilt once again. It’ll need a new cylinder head but the block can be re-used.
0:39 The technician said this LED strip had a short, and the customer thought a bigger fuse would fix it. If a fuse keeps popping, you need to find the actual issue. The customer is lucky this didn’t catch on fire and light is RV on fire. This LED strip is just underneath the awning.
0:53 No extra info.
1:03 I’ve shown something similar in a video last year and a lot of people were saying this will happen if you live near the ocean because of the salt. I’ve never seen this, but I also do know that urine from animals were cause deterioration of the metal fins (seen this on AC machines that are outside of houses).
1:27 The technician said he has no clue how this happened as the vehicle only has 40000 miles / 64373 kilometres, and shouldn’t have any wheel bearing work done on it. It is a rental vehicle so who knows on the full story as well. Since the bolts were missing on one side, it was like having a loose wheel bearing, so over time the caliper bracket was rubbing against the brake rotor and causing a grinding noise that the customer heard.
1:43 No extra info. I’ve never seen this before as well, so if you have any idea what could have caused this, then please let us know!
2:02 A very bent wheel and tire off of an Audi that the customer crashed. Surprised it still held together so I wanted to share it!
2:12 As shown, the steering wheel cover made it feel like the steering was “loose”.
2:24 Always important to have fuel in your fuel tank when bringing your vehicle to the shop and especially when the technician needs to test drive it. I know some shops will charge the customer to add fuel (labor rate + fuel cost).
2:34 The technician found multiple oil leaks, damaged wires, electrical connectors broken, a broken front bumper (aftermarket bumper that doesn’t fit properly), both front CV axles leaking grease, damaged crash bar, radiator supports broken (and radiator hanging low and rubbing on ground), AC lines rubbing against AC compressor + serpentine belt, one damaged wheel and a damaged fan.
3:10 The tire came off an old Buick vehicle going 100km/h /62 mph as they skidded on through the intersection. They slid to a stop and no other damages were done. The tire bounced from the driver’s side, over the hood diagonally towards the windshield, and just grazes the passenger side mirror. The truck ended up stopping to assess the situation. We decided to continue as the baby was still sleeping soundly.”
3:23 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. 1:18 really? I've owned 3 cars where they looked like that, on two of them the a/c worked surprisingly good still.
If you don't want this to happen to you, don't drive closely behind other vehicles because stones are going to hit it a lot more often. Also don't go nuts with the pressure washer in that area, clean your bumper etc at an angle but don't aim straight in to the radiator/condensor.. its not made for that.

  2. Having seen countless videos with rogue tyres causing hijinks and mayhem, I have always wondered how a tyre can possibly come off a car.

Having found this channel, I now have my answer…

  3. Reminded me of when a wheel bowled down the road and hit the front of my Renault 5 in the exact centre of the front. When I got home, I found the long front plastic UK number plate split down the middle, and both halves were hanging vertically down from their individual mounting screws.

  4. Some of the thing happening in the US I have never ever seen here. Like those broken transmission boxes. What are they made of? It looks like crackers, as if the steel is baked rather than cncd.

  5. I'd bet the AC condenser is from someone pressure washing the car. They're probably spraying in the vents closer or at higher pressures, because "something" is in the way. Something, being the fins.

Second guess would be that they live on a rock road, and rocks are kicked up by other vehicles. That would have noticeable damage on the nose of the car too, and I'd assume that would have been mentioned.

  6. Either this channel repeats the same clips with other videos OR YouTube is at it again by UNliking videos we watched and Liked!

THIS IS ONE (or several clips are also in other vids… not sure).

But this one was NOT "liked"…. I've clicked it again.

    sigh

  7. The Ac condenser coil missing the aluminum fins is a common occurrence at residential house units…. Specifically residential house units with large dogs. Urine eats aluminum fins fairly efficiently.

  8. Its so incredible to me that those people just drive the cars out with no repairs done… Like, those vehicles should be taken of the street, not driven around endangering people. x.x

  9. I think the explanation for customers refusing repairs is actually not that they stupid enough to just continue driving it, but rather because they get told absurd price, or in other cases because they just scrap the car because repairs required are uneconomical. That is still not an excuse to have cars in such horrible condition anyway.

  10. What I don't understand is when a customer comes in complaining that their tires won't hold air (because they very badly need to be replaced), but then declines service and drives away. Why did you bring your car in if you were just going to decline repairs!?!?! Just stay home!

  11. The 'drive aways' don't surprise me. I imagine a small amount of them just don't have the money but have a huge reliance on the vehicle, if it still fulfils its task to some degree. The rest if them, we'll, thats just america for you. The moment you tell an American they can't do something, even if it's for their own good, they naturally think their rights are being oppressed and they get on the offense about it.

  12. It STILL amazes me how little some "steering wheel holders" know about their vehicles.

One thing puzzles me- in these litigious days ("Where there's blame, there's a claim") if you, a motor repair shop lets a customer drive away from your premises in a CLEARLY unsafe vehicle, (OK, you pointed out the unsafe brakes/steering etc to them) , are you likely to be open to a claim from their lawyers if they subsequently crash their vehicle? Common sense should say "NO" I agree, but common sense is extremely rare these days. It must be a legal nightmare operating a business such as yours in today's blame culture.

  13. The wheel bearing bolts on the Pacifica have a recall for checking torque to find any loose bolts. If any are found, you replace all of them.
