21 thoughts on “Installing a Sound System in our Civic (while it’s broken)”

  1. i've spent $330 on my sound system i have 4 6×8 skar 2 bullet tweeters from skar 1 12 inch subwoofer 400 rms taramps amp old school pioneer stereo and 8 gauge wiring

  2. You don't need a another line output converter with this powered subwoofer. The Kicker 51PDFT10 Powered Car Subwoofer has a built in LOC! when installing this powered subwoofer to a stock head unit, all you have to do is comment your power cable to your battery with provided fuse, ground wire bolted to chassis then tap into your front door speaker wire with the provided harness and plug it into your sub unit. When doing this install there's no need to connect your remote wire cuz the sub unit gets the signal from the speaker wire you tap into. So there's NO NEED FOR RCA doing it this way. I installed it in my 2016 Honda Accord sport with basic (non amplified) sound system.
***IMPORTANT NOTE: LOCATE YOUR ANC MODULE and UNPLUG IT! if you don't, you will get interference and hear humming and/or thumping from your sub.
If you just unplugged the ENC module in the center console your Bluetooth hands-free will still work since it's a totally separate module some people go through the head liner and disconnect the microphones and cut the thick white wire to retain the Bluetooth but there's no need to do all that if you do it this way!
    Good luck!
