Huge thanks to VinWiki for having me on the show!! Hopefully this video inspires car enthusiast out there to go after their goals & dreams. Life rewards those who stay strong enough, long enough
Hey to the chat I didn’t have to opportunity to grow up chasing my dreams I’m 29 years old now I was a sheltered child long story my dream is to be on the track as a racer is it too late for me please don’t be rude when answering ❤
How? Simple, look in the mirror. 😊
Congrats for pushing through and I wish you much more continued success and happiness.
Iwuji might not have been the best on the grid, but he does a damn good job as a team owner. Happy to have him around
Love the story, helps a lot! Trying get into racing myself… started with sim racing, then started doing Karting in London. Now I want to transition into Cars. Guys I need to just head to the track next
Dude thats a awesome story man I hope to follow the same journey as you one day. God bless you man you are awesome
This was very inspirational for me. THANK YOU!!
I want to race professionally, but the only time I’ve ever drove in my life was a church hangout at a urban air. There i drove the very small go kart track and I fell in love with it. I don’t know where to start because my family doesn’t have the financial support for me to race go karts or anything. What should I do???
Soooo inspiring, definitely don’t feel like I’m too late to do anything now 🥹❤️🔥
I’m currently racing a IMCA sport compact and looking to move up to a modified. I’m 15 and I WILL make it.
Inspirational no doubt
Why did you guys give him the locked character lighting?😂
I have been really in to fast cars driving corners and taken speed to the next lvl it’s my goal to be that future self. Your video has showed me how I could stay in that mind set of what I wanna be but it hard bc I to come from a poor family and it’s only me trying my best to go for my own path for the stuff I love. I would love the additional help to get into my dream career my future career.
I Love the Vision! This guys vision rating is on 99 lol
My Name is Jesse lol
Yaah! I Love it! keep focused! keep grinding! God will guide you!
This is very inspiring! Thank you so much! I want to race too.
Yesssss thank you for watching the TRUE Top gear with Jeremy, Hammond, and May!!
Dude your story made me shed tears, I’m going through the starting stages of driving. I’m so happy for you
This inspires me. My childhood dream was to race Nascar, and I'm in college now, thinking that ship has sailed, and this reminded me that it isn't too late. It's true that most rookies are my age, but this put it into perspective that it's still possible, even if I become a rookie at 30 years old. I didn't come from wealth or racing either, I still pray I can make it happen.
Great story! Thus has been more or less my plan, its been 25 years and im still trying to save for a track car and track time. I have managed to do some instructor led track sessions in the track schools' cars.
I’m 18 and am working on cars almost everyday. been wanting to race nascar since I was like 10 and went to my first nascar race at Fontana. Always wanted to race but my parents told me we weren’t raised to dream big. Still aiming for that goal. Won’t stop till I get there.
I always wanted to be a NASCAR driver. I am really unlucky and have a miserable life. I don't think it will happen though.
I’ve been wanting to be a racing driver since I was 4, I got into NASCAR in 2020 watching the Daytona 500. For watching NASCAR for the first time it was crazy to see Ryan Newman flip and nearly die. That moment made me watch NASCAR every season since. I know when I’m 18, I’m going to be begging my dad to help me become a ARCA driver. Right now I’m in middle school but I know this is my greatest passion.
Thank you for your service Jesse
If this isn't the perfect example of a true American I don't know what is.
This honestly confirms for me that I’m NOT crazy & it IS possible for ME too, truly enjoyed this one.
I'd of paid to hear his story. This man just laid out a blueprint for success. A blueprint for a life of progress.
My career so far:
• Drove my first go kart back in 2018.
• Won my first race on a local track a little ways out of town. (2019)
• Won my first championship. (2020)
Took a brake from racing for 3 years.
• About to compete in the International Karting Federation grand national championship. (Now 2023)
I just came across this video when doing research on how to become a NASCAR driver. Im 34 (at the time of typing this comment) and I've always been enthralled with racing in general but never had a way or funds my entire life to get in to it…but after taking my dad (who is a big NASCAR fan) to our 1st ever race at Talladega this last weekend (the Oct 1st 2023 Yellowood 500 Race to be exact) I just got that feeling again of "this is what I should be doing" but I still feel lost at where to start..and I honestly feel like im too old to start to pursue this dream
Started following Jesse a few years ago, what an awesome young man.
This is why I love cars and motorsport
It sucks how expensive getting into racing is. And I know I’ll get some flack here, but even when people grind, for every 1 that makes it, 5 fail. Despite working just as hard, despite having the same drive, despite everything.
It does not take JUST hard work and dedication. There is some luck in there. Being at the right place at the right time with the right people. Not everyone gets that.
I’m happy for this man, and it sounds like he definitely has worked very hard. But it’s important to keep in mind the opportunities you were given that others may not get.
“That’s so cool! It’s the fastest I’ve ever gone! But it’s not fast enough, I need more.”
The words of every car guy lol
I don't necessarily believe you have to start at 6, let's be honest, the majority of kids are not very receptive at that age.
Work hard, the younger the better but anything younger than 12 seems to be somewhat wasteful
Jesse is a good dude
Hope to be able to connect with Jessie again. Happy he made it this far told him he’d been in the xfinity series in no time
This is a true American hero
How can you not love this dude
