In this episode of From the Stash, we sit down with Yellow Skunk Farms to talk about building a truly all-natural indoor growing ecosystem. Instead of chasing bottles and quick fixes, this approach focuses on creating a balanced environment where the soil, microbes, and plants all work together.

equilibrium, and biodiversity of rhizosphere 100%
Can you make these just down to the nitty gritty. For the ADHD folks? Just a 3-minute description? For the ones that understand and just like to see what others do.
That's dope AF! Perfect breeding environment to test for stress and other factors. I'm bout to start getting ready for the outdoor season. Was gonna just stick to indoor this year, but the wilderness is calling my name 😂. Outdoors was how I started 15 years ago. Probably gonna just do a few autos, and a couple photos. Actually thinking of grabbing Ridgeline or Mendo Dope genetics since they dominate the outdoor breeding game. I want to grow at least one huge monster that produces pounds, would be nice, especially since their genetics are super stable, only come in regular seeds, and produces insane effects and terps.
I think he likes saying sand , silt clay
💚💚💚 Josh is awesome! I love his setup! 💚💚💚
Did he just say you can put 10 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket?
I've already heard about it one time.I don't wanna hear about it again.See you guys next episode ✌️
Throws up videos on the regular
Indeed. He is live with a harvest going down
Great info to add to my arsenal!
Such an amazing ecosystem that was built! Fantastic ingenuity 🎉
It would be cool if you could splice in a little picture in picture of his setup while he was describing it/P was talking about it
Thanks guys! I love watching your plants and creatures Josh! 💚
Yellow Skunk has the #1ivi.g soil setup. 🐢🐢🌱🌱and all.
I have seen this very method of growing cannabis in the wild in South Texas……….in the mid 70's!
This was located on the Llano River in Kimball County Texas. This patch of 'wild cannabis' was located on an inside bend, where all the good sentiments get deposited during flooding.. Also present in this area very old and large native pecan trees. This is also where the local Turkey population roosted at night.
When I say 'wild cannabis', I actually mean that the owners are definitely not responsible for the planting of the cannabis. It's highly doubtful that guerrilla grower would plant that close to the home complex with the river at the back door………….. Well, you could chunk a rock from the back door into the river.
I think this place originated many many years prior, quite possibly back to Texas was part of Mexico. The spot is absolutely perfect for growing cannabis. Soil is in very small supplies in that area, but where you find it, it is extremely fertile. It has deciduous trees that drop leaves every year along with the poop from the roosting turkeys. Water is not a problem and the whole area probably acts like one big huge Earthbox.
I found this at the ripe young age of 12 while fishing at the old farmhouse. This was part of our deer lease. The Little Old German Lady we leased loved fresh fish, So that's the first thing I would always do, is go out and catch her some fish.
It was pretty much year in year out, the same thing, really big plants. They were definitely sativa, just not the real thin leafed. The very last year before I went off to the military, I did manage to pull off a harvest. It was late October and we had a lot of work to do before deer season started. I finangled going down in my own truck, because of work schedule.😎
Within the first hour down there, I had several plants chopped and hung up in the young pecan trees. They hung for 6 days. On the last day I just cut the buds off and put them in a cooler. About 8 hours later they drying in my buddies tack room in his barn.
Yeah it was harsh and tasted like crap, but it got you high………… And it was free!
Since I started growing my own meds, I've often wondered if is still the same.
VA representing!
"Soil is the guts of the plants" is a great way to shorthand explain living soil.
I just stumbled on his channel a couple of days ago, very cool grow setup! great podcast guys keep on growin 🔥
Thanks for another excellent episode, Informative and entertaining as always, Thanks Guys!
The tittmilk thing made me laugh hahaha 😂

Glad to see you guys have a fellow Virginia grower on here ✊ Yellow Skunk Farms has the coolest shit going on Instagram/Youtube right now! Much love Josh
The titty milk explanation hit the nail on the head lol
Ive been watching this his channel for a while. The turtles are so fn cool.
I baught the pots because I was a Garden Answer video. There was an explosion of growth. The flowers grew all the way to the ground. I could no longer see the pot. I thought to myself damn that's what I need in my grow.
I flowered my plants for 9 full weeks. I veg for about 6 weeks.
I planted Durban Poison Auto seeds this evening. Their tap root was about three quarters of an inch long.
My pots are crescent garden true drop indoor outdoor self watering pots. The pot holds one cubic foot of soil and 6 gallons of water.
I harvested one Durban Poison plant on Friday. I wet trim the buds and then they go into my cannatrol. I was a cannakan to germinate my seeds. I get my seeds from ILGM because they cost half as much as Seedsman seeds.
I use Gaia green all purpose and power bloom. I use stash blend too.
On day 21 I top my plants and their bottom water. I call that topping and bottoming.
I live in Virginia Beach.
That's how my crescent garden pots work. Some of the roots go into the water. I average 8 ounces per plant.
You mean you kidnapped the turtle from highway !
I’m in Hampton Va which is right next to Newport News. Pretty cooling knowing he’s crushing it not even 10 minutes from me lol. Great episode fellas
Happy Roots equal Happy Fruits

HennyX here. Great episode I’ve been experimenting with adding organic ingredients to my coca coir mix. Living soil. Diversity on microbes brings out the best in your genetics
Holy shit! I watch Yellow Skunk Farms all the time! It's amazing what he's done, isn't it? I'd love to build a much smaller version…like a corner of the room sized version of his living ecosystem. So freaking cool
