Post Malone is one of the biggest stars in the world right now. But, what’s crazy is that listeners who are just discovering him at the moment might not actually know that he started out in hip-hop. After all, he hasn’t collaborated with a rapper on any of his albums since 2022, nor does he step back into that world to provide many features these days or put on for new artists. Instead, he now makes country music.

As always guys, thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe if you enjoyed! 💙

  1. Yesterday I went to Post Malone's concert in Abu Dhabi for the first time (December 5, 2025).
I don't really care what genres he mixes in his music. I really enjoyed his performance, and I also want to add that if he weren't talented, no one would know about him. Just let him make music.

  2. I liked how the title didn’t match what he said😭😭 like “Why Post Malone Abandoned Hip Hop” then there’s “Why Hip Hop doesn’t respect Post Malone”💀💀

  3. Damn I was wondering about Post. Now I know. smh I used to enjoy his music on all genres. After watching this makes me wonder how long I will continue to listen to him.

  4. Coming from a Brazilian, it's impressive how much racial distinction there is in the USA. Here you say "nego" (a derogatory term for Black people) and nobody complains, except maybe some snob on the internet. Here, being Black or white is more like a passing moment than a culture war, from what I understand about the USA. From my perspective, our Brazilian society has a lot of racism, but in the USA it's much more incisive, to the point where any poorly chosen word becomes a serious offense to an entire ethnic group.

  5. He is an example as to why Eminem is respected in hip hop, Eminem lives and breathes hip hop, MGK, Post Malone and others like them just use hip hop to get rich and do what they really wanted to do, nothing wrong if you started in country or rock or whatever genre but don't use another genre and culture to get big then ditch it once you have your money. If you've "always wanted to do country" then you should have started there I used to be a fan but he's a disappointment, no respect for this guy.

  6. I will never understand why people put people in boxes. What's the point but create conflict and self-righteousness? It's very simple: Like music, make music, share music. That's it.

  7. Hip hop is the only genre that doesnt respect artists that arent the typical look and color. Look how country music welcomed this boy with opened arms. They did the same with Jelly Roll and even Hootie and the Blowfish back in the day. Why would he stay in hip hop? I wouldnt if i were him. Plus a whole different avenue of money is about to open up. Bythe time its all said and done, dude will probably be worth half a billion or more.
