45 thoughts on “Exiled From Russia: Embedded Journalist Reveals Putin’s Most Unsettling Secrets | David Satter

  1. This interview made me lose so much respect for Danny. A nice guy, but so utterly and ignorantly devoid of context around these propaganda points he very clear holds as strong views. Not a good look.

  2. Yes they did support the โ€œGermansโ€ during WWII. Bandera was a nazi supporter! Maidan was influenced by outside forces! This guy just glosses over some bad decisions of Ukraine. He keeps saying you people are too dumb to understand๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚, wowโ€ฆ

  3. If a Satter is moving his lips, he's lying. Don't ever take as gospel what these yiddlers tell you until you research it yourself.

  4. I love watching even the most intellectually honest and learned Americans butt pucker up the moment someone touches on an issue that's personal for them domestically such as the idea of Russia interfering with our elections. It doesn't matter what their political ideology is it always happens and I love it. It's hilarious and disheartening all at the same time because it means we're still far from an American color revolution of our own

  5. Just listen to the rhetoric of a lot of these for right wing groups. And then think about the events during the Ukrainian revolt all over again by creating a level of chaos and disaster they all but guarantee outside intervention by Russia and or Western forces either way they have the opportunity now domestically to try and further their goals it's called accelerationism and some of the more extreme right wing groups espouse these theories. I can't imagine they figured that by shooting a bunch of random people on both sides of the conflict that day that they were going to get javelin missile for Christmas

  6. 1:16:40 What do you mean by the US doesn't benefit??? It would be yet another country going down into Putin's hands, when it could have been a close ally to the US itself. And the US had bases and military agreements with it since the 1990s. How is this not relevant??? McCain went to the organge revolution, for f** sake…

  7. Yes, the United States should be giving aid to Ukraine. There is absolutely no good reason not to and a thousand reasons we should give aid and increase our support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. There is zero advantage to anybody, not even the Russian people if we stay out of this. Except for maybe to Putin. There, I summarized the reality of the situation.

  8. Dear KONCRETE, Mr. Satter,
I'm from Poland, and Ukrainians are my neighbors. I'm not going to go over present disaster, that is going over there as I'm writing. I just wanted to let you know : You, Gentleman, just got my deep respect.
Mr. Sutter, cause I'm finding him one of few "westerners" who knows the realities in that part of the world, at the same time I consider you Mr.Satter to be a great story teller.
Mr. Jones, my regards and many thanks, cause you got this thing needed in podcast world and in real World, (perhaps even more in the real one) :
you are good "listener". Even better, you are letting of true wisdom to speak, when one is present.
It was …refreshing ! Thank you both Gentleman for your time and a great show !
Love from Poland and let the Slavic Power be with You ! ๐Ÿ˜‰ 100 Lat !

  9. After listening to this man's account, I understand why he was banned from Russia, he is aggressively anti Putin and cannot see any fault on the American side. It is obvious that Ukraine was a power struggle better Russia and the US, both are at fault

  10. The truth is if you look for all the bad things Putin did you will find a lot, just like every leader in the world, that's why we need more cooperation. I mean why did we in the US really start all those wars?

  11. The person being interviewed should ask the interviewee, do you think if any country was being attacked they should just lay down so that no "injuries" occur.

  12. 'we had nothing like this in our history' – c'mon man, what about native americans genocide? slavery? civil war? every country has lots of blood on its hands, and USA is no exception

  13. David is always great of course!!… BUT my god the interviewer is appalling.. No knowledge and spouting out Russian propaganda.. cringeworthy interviewer.

  14. Title should be โ€œBusting dumb conspiracy theories of the rightโ€. I kinda feel sorry this dude kept having to respond to ignorant conspiracy theories that are rooted in Russian propaganda. Hey Koncrete – do better. Have more respect for your guests

  15. โ€œNATO would have protected Ukraine.โ€ no. NATO is nothing but a horrendous murder machine and itโ€™s useless.
โ€œThe US was just trying to protect democracy, democratic valuesโ€ LOL since when did the US have any notion of values or true democracy?
& the steel dossierโ€ฆ.. debunked and determined in various court proceedings to be a complete lie.
the U.S. has been involved in over 80 armed conflicts worldwide for years now, of course they had a lot to do with ukraine in 2014.

  16. This interview guy wants so bad for someone to agree with his crazy notion that the us has made Ukraine it's puppet it's kinda sad. It shows his complete misunderstanding of the geopolitical situation there.

  17. These guys get the most interesting subjects, and the interviewers consistently lack the most basic understanding and knowledge of the topics necessary to make the dialogue as compelling as possible. And no, itโ€™s not that theyโ€™re dumbing down the inquiry so even the most basic viewer can understand and catch up, you can very much tell they are not privy to whatโ€™s being discussed in any way at all. Itโ€™s really disappointing because I like this channel but Iโ€™m always frustrated through interviewers saying in my head , โ€œfuck these guys idiots, Iโ€™m sorry.โ€
