Best people in the industry
Just to add some names to what I said in my other comment, because this is exactly why credit matters.
Michigan has produced and supported some serious breeders and genetic contributors over the years: Tiki Madman, 3rd Coast Genetics, Thug Pug Genetics, Gage Green Group, Fresh Coast Seed Co., Skunk House Genetics, Detroit Seed Company, Mota Rebel Genetics and others.
We’re talking about people connected to genetics and selections like Detroit Runtz, Oreoz, Peanut Butter Breath, Pure Michigan, Gorilla Butter and more.
And I’m not saying every one of these breeders is specifically from the city of Detroit. Some are Michigan breeders whose work became part of the larger Detroit/Michigan cannabis culture. That distinction matters too.
My point is, when we have conversations about “Detroit Za,” I want to hear more about the people behind the genetics, the phenotype hunts, the selections and the legacy work that helped build the culture.
Those names should be part of the conversation too. 💯
One thing I wish conversations like this would go deeper on is CREDIT.
Detroit cannabis culture didn’t start when licenses, investors and bigger businesses entered the picture. There are breeders and growers from this city who spent years developing genetics, building reputations and helping create what people now recognize as Detroit Za.
Too often those names get swept under the rug while the people with the money, businesses and platforms become the face of something they didn’t necessarily create.
This isn’t about taking anything away from anybody doing business today. It’s about respecting the lineage. If we’re really going to have a Detroit Za round table, we should be able to name some of the Detroit breeders and growers whose work helped build the culture in the first place.
Give the people behind the genetics their flowers too. 💯
Every body at this table got money 💰
Just how most detroit artists, rappers mainly don't respect the music producers… same thing..
😂 they really don't want detroit breeders known.
Flat out they just dont respect the growers or the breeders they only want to take an give back bare minimum they won't even promo the breeders
He can't really name breeders cuz they cut us growers out and take our name
This is big
