What happens when a family of master boat builders turns a 100,000 sq. ft. facility into a craft cannabis operation?
In this special CannaCribs deep dive, we head inside Dan Trocki Farms in New Jersey—a family-run cannabis business built from the ground up with a mission to bring truly high-quality craft cannabis to the New Jersey market.
Long before the first plants went into the facility, the Dan Trocki Farms team faced a massive challenge: transforming a building designed for luxury yacht manufacturing into a fully functioning commercial cultivation facility.
That meant tackling electrical and water infrastructure, HVAC, irrigation, room layouts, cultivation workflows, equipment selection and countless other details required to turn an empty industrial space into an operational grow.
Working alongside Joe and the CannaCribs Consulting / GrowersHouse team, Dan Trocki Farms took the project from licensing and architectural planning all the way through construction, equipment installation, SOP development and cultivation optimization.
Today, the facility features eight cultivation rooms, including a dedicated mother and propagation room, with seven rooms cycling through veg and flower—all operated by a tight-knit team of fewer than 15 people.
But this story is about more than equipment and cultivation.
Dan Trocki Farms was built around family, craftsmanship and the legacy of the people who inspired it. The same hands and mentality that spent decades building luxury craft yachts are now being applied to building a craft cannabis brand the family can stand behind.
