To be fair a lot of people have a very hard time with this concept. "We are all going to die" follow up "will we have jobs?"

As far as nested simulations go, wouldn’t we be as likely to be in base reality as the final one? Since we’d be the only one that has yet to create a lifelike simulation in that group.
So we’d have to be the original, or the final one that has yet to create the next lifelike simulation. Not anywhere in the middle?
Edit: Also, I’m talking about nested simulations. Since people talk about base reality, and then having an infinite amount going down a line within the other simulations. I’m not talking about a general “is this a random simulation.” We have no way of knowing that atm.

I graduated 7th in my AIT class for 74F in the Army in 1984. The things I have seen in computing since then have told me we are indeed fucked in the very near future unless we pass a certain test AI will give us.
