I work loss prevention for target and the most common thief is a skip scanner like he described. At the target i work at theres a policy that of you steal more than 3 times under 100 bucks they stop you. I will say however my guess is the reason he gets away with it is because most target LPs dont give a crap or watch someone for groceries. If he had anything else then they probably would be more aware.

Bart Simpson cyst is a rough thing but if you guys stick together thru that y'all can handle anything lol. btw, i like to talk about this because i think a lot of ppl don’t realize this. when you steal from grocery/retail/any stores, including big stores, it eventually hurts the employees. if a store loses however many thousands or millions from stealing, the CEO isn’t gonna take a pay cut. he’s gonna stop giving out as many raises, cut benefits, cut hours, etc. it doesn’t “come out of their paycheck” but it hurts people who are already overworked and underpaid
im a retail store employee, we watch the cameras and let people steal, warn neighboring stores, once they steal enough product to charge them legally we get cops involved. so you think youre getting away with it, until it becomes a serious crime very suddenly.

They definitely check those cameras. Once you've established a pattern with the location, they start a file and keep a tab of all the items you've stolen, once you reach the store's cap they'll have the police waiting on your exit.
