Why microslop consistently try to target notoriously specific business audience niche
Windows Phone was such a breath of fresh air. I loved it. It was more responsive and used less data than iPhones at the time.

I would strongly disagree on the “well executed” claim for Windows Phone.
They did a lot right, but missed out on the most important part of the Smart Phone ecosystem: popular Apps!
A few million spent bribing/paying the biggest app makers to have high quality day one WP7 versions may have saved the platform. The software and hardware was genuinely innovative, and they also had large municipal and corporate contracts for phone hardware and service. The only downside was a complete lack of consumer/civilian software.
I still have one of their phones I use for some games and as a media player. It was a great platform with bad planning/support.

I had a Kin One. Yes, it was a flawed phone, but the UI/UX was similar to its sibling (Windows Phone) and had some good ideas. The form factor was also quite satisfying to use due to the size and physical keyboard.
It also had Zune app and Zune Pass integration (later known as Xbox Music), which actually was a good rival to Spotify and iTunes at the time, giving you a free album to download (as in own, even after subscription ends) per month, as well as unlimited streaming, for $9.99.
That integration was the main reason I got the Kin One, despite the drawbacks.

Honor Magic Portal has that feature… Just saying, and other android phones can and are doing it in different ways.
Windows Phone was pretty good. It paved the way for Android

Funny thing, Microsoft had Windows Mobile 6.1 years before the iPhone. And could have cornered the market if they pivoted correctly.
I remember in 2004 / 2005 I had an HTC "smartphone" skinned with windows Mobile 6.1 as the OS.
