  1. Sam Altman took the shortcut and although I really hate Elon, he is correct. Greed will definitely destroy OpenAI, and people should realize the Original OpenAI is now living under Anthropic.

  2. So… I've worked in IT for some of Australia's biggest companies. I now lecture at my local university. I can say, from personal experience, that I can see a direct correlation between AI use for coding assignments and subject failure rates. AI has given students a way to turn off their brains. They hand in code that is AI generated and doesn't even work, and they've not even taken the time to review it. They get to exams and can't write a thing and fail miserably. I try so hard to explain it to them, but there are some who just aren't interested. LLMs are pretty much literal fever dreams. AI neural networks, though, they are actually good. However, that requires actual people to set targets and methods. Where neural network AI really shines is how it can explore so many different possibilities. It's not the AI the tech companies are spending billions on, but it's the industry's one saving grace. I'll take AI that explores cancer treatments over AI that'll lock you into automated call centre hell any day.

  3. Instead of one giga model i wonder how the ai would perform if it was a cluster of specialized ai that discuss with one another. Maybe they do this behind the scenes, but it would be interesting for complex topics

  4. Open AI's demise (bankruptcy etc) is not hard to imagine. Been wondering when that will happen. In the end Google will win – this is the concsensus in the buyside

  5. AI is a neat gadget for most people but nothing more. The insane amount of funds pumped into it were never backed by a profitable product/service. Now they force AI into everything to simulate growing demand, while users' experience gets worse and people are becoming angry.

When – not if – the bubble pops things will get really intetesting

  6. I actually think ChatGPT brings a lot of value to the world. I can’t even begin to think how many topics I’ve been able to explore because of it. But the economics can’t be ignored. The massive costs of the infrastructure needed to support it will continue to be a problem

  7. OpenAI fked up bad when they, u know, didn't stay open sourced. They lost so much voluntary programming that they just can't compete against Google.

  8. I remember commenting on your channel video from 2022 where you said that Google was caught with its pants down and telling you back then that Google's AI depth is far more than OpenAI. OpenAI made the chatbot concept work really well and that was not what Google was focusing on. But, who actually came up with the transformers in the first place? What do you think was going on in Deepmind that Google had bought? What do you think was Adsense behind the scenes?

  9. Im getting tired of these ai this ai that videos. No matter how many times i click uninterested… Youtube keeps pushing videos like yours to pollute my feed.

I havent engaged with ai. I have no feelings about it, and i dont care. Anti ai grifters and ai slop tubers are both just as unwelcome in my feed. Go away, and, btw, your video aged like milk

  10. That super Scientist Stephen Hawking stated just before he died that AI will be a danger to the human race.
It is unfettered in its human unleashed methods and difficult to gainsay in its results already becoming a baseline of 'truth' and who is there to contest it and be heard. When it fails whom do you turn to for recompense as it cannot be sued in itself as it has no human standing, it is just a 'thing' that is built to satisfy itself so its creators can disassociate themselves as it morphs away happily with little or no control.

  11. I'm sick to death of this anti-consumer business model of getting people hooked on free product, then dumbing the free version and going to a paid model. This is exactly how drug dealers work.

  12. come on AI is just having lots of data then it's being copied and paste to provide the user that is not AI its just information management that is the reason why so much memory i.e. RAM is needed and large databases… its another one of the great american ponzi schemes living off that AI bubble… the current limit is the binary computer i.e. ones and zeroes….throwing more energy/hardward doesnt solve anything ….the current AI we have is that it performs faster than a human because it has a larger database that does not forget stuff unlike the human brain BUT really stored information than can be retrieved faster than a human brain IS NOT AI!!!! its like the old filing system where we store information in desk/warehouses to retrieve that information takes time.. the current AI models solves that time problem which just replaces certain jobs BUT its not smart intelligence at ALL!!! lmao we have not bridge that gap just amazed at how people are being sucked into another ponzi scheme getting excited over nothing…

  13. You just said at the end what I really think of AI. It's becoming a commodity and OpenAI is just another Nokia on a shorter timescale vs Nokia's decades of Rise and Fall. Though I don't mean that company will eventually collapse but people like us who were into technology sector knew it since 2022 that soon Google fly past OpenAi and yup all it took them was 3 years. Ofcourse, it was their work and they are the juggernaut of tech scene, they have huge experience, footprint, user base and corporate deeplinks to make their tech and implementation successful.
