Can a rear-wheel-drive swap actually make a Civic better, or is the original front-wheel-drive layout still the best? We’re putting our Honda up against Throtl’s wild 550hp K20-swapped EK hatch, to see if this RWD beast is a dream build or total heresy.

Big thanks to Throtl and Mickey for letting us take their baby out for a spin. Go check out their channel and click the link below to see the full civic build playlist!

26 thoughts on “FWD vs RWD Civic

  1. This test doesn’t prove anything. The civic was designed to be FWD. The weight distribution is like 70/30 front bias. So unless you address that issue, the civic will not work as a RWD car.

  2. Most people that hate on front wheel drive. Have main character syndrome and cant wrap the peanut brain around it. Manual standard front wheel pull. Ive had both rear wheel and front wheel is underatated.
