Drying and curing cannabis is the most important step after harvest, and it’s where most mistakes happen. Even a perfect grow can be ruined in just a few days if drying conditions are wrong or if you rush the cure.
In this video, I walk through my exact drying and curing process step by step. I explain how long to hang dry cannabis, the ideal temperature and humidity range for drying, and how to tell when your buds are ready to move into jars.
I also cover the snap test, squeeze test, and jar test, and explain when each one matters so you don’t rely on guesswork. These simple checks help you avoid overdrying, mold, and that common hay or grass smell that ruins quality.
This is the same method I use in my own grows to consistently produce smooth, flavourful cannabis with a proper cure every time.

Unbelievable Terps: These Strains Took Flavor to Another Level – FTS Podcast Ep.269
In this episode we break down the most unbelievable terp profiles we’ve come across—strains so loud, complex, and unique they...

i love the terploc bags…. i dry until it's still slighty damp and stembends, not breaks…. then i put them in the bags and rarely open after… i leave for like 4 weeks in the bags in the cool dark and they're awesome
When I do the snap test I try to twist a larf bud off. If it comes off clean with no strings attached, it's time to trim. That's how I judge when it's time to trim every time, so it works well.
I used to do 60/60 for drying but recently found out that 65 degrees and 45-50% humidity produces even better results, and it's done a couple of days faster.
Solid lesson right there
How do I get seeds in a warzone
Aloha,I am a legit a first time grower. Wanted to say thank you. Your videos are great at explaining and showing your processes and they are easy to understand. I am trying my best to grow a quality plant. I will be revisiting this video in the future when I harvest. If you get the chance I would appreciate any advice or criticism on my grow. I need to learn. Again, I greatly appreciate your content.
getting the dry & cure right is so important , nice job 😎
60:60 is bro science there’s no science between it it’s just what’s everyone is doing so it’s gotta work right you’re putting science behind a bro science method look into vpd drying like the deep end from shark mouse farms
tha for tips, i like this vid
🔥👌🏻💪🏻💚
Enjoyed the video and it’s good advice for drying and curing.
Thanks for sharing!
Oh I have the exact same trim tray. The blue one! 💚 Thanks for the pointers. Harvesting in about a month over here.
What's the soil mixture that you use? Thanks Brother!
For anyone wondering , you don’t need to rotate your buds on a drying rack and you will not get flat spots it’s like a weird myth that someone said and after that all online gurus just keep saying it , don’t believe me just do it and you’ll find out the world doesn’t actually end and you end up with a perfectly good product without the hassle and worry of constantly flipping your buds, drying racks are great and all the new and actual scientific research into drying consistently shows that drying your flower too slow isn’t actually a good thing you want them to be dry within 4-5 days so cutting them off the stem is a good idea.
5:47 no that was the bud 🫣
Nutes ruin the flavor with harshness. Low reson low flavor after its dried. Not all seeds produce alot of reson
What would u recommend when u don't have an air conditioning at the summertime.
Because 60 60 is not possible to reach
Anybody in the group know if they put their humidity packs in right away Andy meaning as soon as you jar it up 6:45
Dried nugs on my heater in my bathroom last night, 25°C, let it cool down after drying. All I can say damn that some pimp smoke!!😁
Blew me when he said it should smell like grass but if it does smell like grass good luck next time
respect
That’s one beautiful plant
Not bad! You really want to achieve a 66% dew point. Typical a 65-66 F and a 58-60% relative humidity for the first 5-6 days. Then drop the temp to 60*F and 58% relative humidity for the next 8 days. 14 days and she’s ready to test. I give her an extra week at 60-60 for a perfect cure. Don’t use a bag! You can put the smoke in a big bin with some plain brown wrapping paper, cover, layer and 60-60 for an additional few days to a week for a perfection cure. 21-30 days is the sweet spot! Vacuum seal your smoke to keep in a cool area or freezer to maintain moisture and prevent terpenes degradation. Will keep for 6-12 months easy. Always let smoke defrost completely before smoking. Good video 👍
👍
None of this is across the board. Indica dry and cure completely different than sativa. Just like growing your dry and cure must be dialed to the plant. When you grow a plant think of where it comes from regionally and adjust your environment accordingly when growing, drying and curing 🙏
60% to low. 65 for 4weeks. Everyone in such a rush. And harvest that huge plant perpetually. You’re losing so much of your harvest doing that. Patience all around🙏
Some strains just suck and no matter what they seem to lose most of their terps during the dry. Those are a buzzkill and one of the reasons why I don’t like growing random seeds. Like some can smell amazing at chop, and get the perfect slow dry but still just don’t hold the terps well. Not sure the science behind it. Other strains smell amazing the whole time and never even go through that grass clipping smell phase
I elliminate nitrogen early and wait for fade at late flower to get rid of the grass risk. Then i dry them in a brown paper bag. After 5 days ill add a papertowel for a few hours to rehydrate the outside of the buds. After 10 to 14 days they go into glass jars.
How many videos you got in store for us this year?.. would love to see a pure coco and perlite grow with GH nutrients
2 weeks in curing state still a litttle hay smell. Hoping in the next few weeks it goes away. Dried around 60/60 for 10 day
Impossible for me to keep the 60/60. I generally.keep within a range of 60% if a tad over the first couple days thats fine. I cut it slowly through the grow since my basement dry and have to run a himidifier. I like to end aroind 55%. Almost guarantees no mold. which makes life less stressful since i cant afford an ac. I avoid drying in the summer because its too moist and the combo of dehumidier and warmer basement makes it virtuslly impossible to get under 75 degrees down there.
Still get stoned off hay😂
Why does everyone harvest the whole plant at once? Is it time constraints? Take those tops and let them bottoms go another week or two. Your harvest will increase dramatically. Such a waste
1:16 BLESSED 😂 BE DA DAWGS 😭🤣
Im on my first grow currently drying and let me tell you I freaked out when I checked in at day 5 and it smelled like damp hay. Why don't more people mention this lol
Ohhh hooo but i don’t caree it harvest season somewhere
The stems usually turn a grayish color and can be pulled off with no stem fiber stripping.
I would start off by hanging the whole plant with roots takes up a whole addict aswell 😅
60/60?
I'll NEVER hit those parameters in the tropics 😂
